Hiya all

I was a TKM / MBE for about 20m or so prior to CU. When the CU hit Hybrids became useless, so after messing round with respecs I eventually plumped for MBH/MCM/Pistols 0004 (this was before I realised it was a new FOTM template - nevre been one of those before =) )

anyhoo, I find Im missing TK badly. Anyone out there care to give me an honest appraisal of the profession now? I wouldnt want to regrind 2 professions, so Id probably end up as a TKM / MCM (hows that for a weird template) - dont think this would be too bad as Id have good heals and the MCM debuffs and Para would help.

I dont really Pvp, although I may every now and then. this is mainly a PvE template

thanks

p.s no token respec left (I used that to drop my beloved MBE)

Depends I too missed TKM in my template, it was just to sexy to do with out. But I use it as a support profession for fencer, ie I use fencer weapons and for RPing, It is indeed a viable profession by itself especially since you have an elite healing class, but it will be slow going since dmg on TKM is still very low. katarn Knucklers ADKed would help alot with that though.

If you don't mind slow solo grinding then you will be good with tkm mcm, in a group it's not that bad b/c we tank ( though tkm still has trouble holding argo)

Well honestly, I played BH-smuggler-pistoleer pre-CU and really enjoyed it. Now however, I am thinking more on the lines of outlast and outheal , and my temp of TKM doc is just that. Your statement about TKM/MCM isnt wierd at all man, actually its a very nice template if you ask me. The TK defense with cool healing stuff is the way to go for me.

TK/DOC for the win!!!!

TKM/MDoc/Swords 1x2x/FS Melee Def 4..If i had back all the Skillpoints i used up in the FS trees, i would get 1x3x in swords... still thinking about dropping the FS trees as i am pretty sure i will not go jedi.. though TKA is not what it uesed to be, there are many templates that get it pretty close to what it was. I see a lot of players mixing TK with swords/fencer/pike and some Doc for the heals. good luck. If you are on Eclipse, gove me a shout and will be happy to help out.

I thought that too, and after cu I dropped 3 full trees and a couple level 1 boxes to free up enough skill points for my template. One month later my guild wanted to make a town and they needed me to unlock Jedi to get my extra character. Everytime I had to fly out to the village for those last 3 trees I was cursing myself.

My main character now has 6 stupid trees in fs and a glowstick I haven't even wanted to fire up. I only seem to play my unlocked character now who is going to be a tkm. I just wanted to warn you that even though you don't think you want a jedi, you will probably end up going for one anyway and be pissed that you dropped those fs trees.

I was a long time TKM / MDoc from before CU. Absolutely loved it, though then respec'd to a Rifleman / CM and got bored really quick after CU. Have gone back to TKM and am loving my new template. It's TKM, MSword, 4/0/0/0 Doc. Great healing, great KD, great armorbreak... I can solo just about anything with enough time and find that I'm invaluable for a group doing just about anything. Nothing like hitting a target with KD, Armorbreak, Stun, and Combo attack. By the time they get back up the rest of the group has it about dead.

Last night we had a 3 man team (with CM) get slaughtered by the Gorax. I came out and tanked and we slaughtered it in under 30 seconds. TKM played correctly is the one of the best / funnest professions in the game.

I was a TKM/MDoc, bounced around via respec and via grinding for a while, but finally had to choose between the two. Now I'm TKM/MCH, and don't miss Doc nearly as much as I missed TKM when I was other things (e.g. BH/Doc).

I had to grind TKM twice, but it was worth it. At PvE, I hate having to think about what a good beating costs me (in terms of replacing armor). As a TKM, I can gladly attempt any foe, and have little consequences for my stupidity when I get the living daylights beat out of me ( or barely manage to drag a win out of it, to my own jubilation ).

If I had 16 bazillion credits to burn, I might feel differently about it. But for now, TKM gives me flexibility to try new challenges, and not have to go grinding for an evening or two just to recoup my armor loss in an extended battle.

And for me, more choices == more fun.

I'm TK/MCM and it's not wierd at all. Quite interesting actually. Excellent tank and group healer. Tough to beat in PvP if you keep your mind regen'ed. Only weakness is solo missions as it takes to long to kill stuff.

TKM/CM is actually great for PvP, I'd say say go with that, then use the rest of your points on FS skills.
