His name is Krepauk, and he's the wookie on the left by the hut when you first enter the trail. His missions are solo'able by a CL80 player, however the last few get pretty tough. The very last mission is to kill the Katarn at the bottom of the trails, and you may want to bring a friend or two for that one.
Its Karl I think. He referrs you to his friend who, ends up giving you the knucklers in the end.

Yes, it is Karl who gives the mission. The other guy is different. I'm not sure what you get from him, I'm stuck on the 4th level (webweaver) so have not been able to finish his or Karl/Karl's friend's missions... Do you nderstand what i just said? i lost track

What quest do you need to do to get these? Anyone have a walk-through link they can provide?

Karl gives the Proton Carbine and begins you on the quest to free Kashyyyk. He's a zabrak in wook armor. You want Krepauk on the other side of the entrance for the Rryatt Trail Master quests...those get the knuckles.
