okay, we don't have many specials, but we do have inate armor, meditate, FoW(also borked), power boost, etc.

but i just happened to be looking at my combat log today, and i noticed that melee hit was doing more damage then combo attack. same with armor break on or off. same against krayt's, nightsisters, aaukuan's...

i'm only sorta complaining here, because melee hit takes far less HAM then combo, and has a faster timer. i guess the only thing combo attack has going for it is teh cool animation, o.O

is it true that our best attack comes from the brawler tree? that truly is pathetic.

I keep getting told in game that combo hit is a bit messed up in the damage it reports in logs - so it is doing more than it says it is.

There are tons of threads about this. Combo Attack is NOT borked, only the reporting of the damage in the combat log is borked. Turn on verbose combat messages, and you'll see that eventhough it says you did 256 (or whatever) points of damage, the mobs' "armor absorbed 123 out of 1056 points of damage". So you really did 1056 - 123 points of damage, not 256.

you can get the animation from using power attack from swordsman, and because you aren't spamming it over and over it looks even better.
