People have been talking about it for a while and it's mainly range they whine about saying that it's unfair how we can hit them before their 3-6k flame hits us. I was a Master CH when that got nerfed and am a master TKA now so I'm dreading any nerf for this as they were my 2 chosen professions, I'd hate to have to drop TKA too

I have always been TKA, and after "holocroning" a few other professions now, I can see that TKA is not overpowered. For example, I did much better at PvE as a Master Swordsman than TKM (that double mind bleed coupled with blast damage is a real killer). People just need to use the appropriate measures to counter us, such as high kinetic armor. There needs to be less whining and more strategy, in my opinion.

True.

TKA has already been nerfed - at least once.

I did some PvP last night, and I didn't stand a chance. It was a large battle with 20-30 on each side. I rarely have lag, but I did last night due to the presence of 3 big faction bases. There had to be 100 PCs/NPCs running around.

But to my point, if you want to nerf someone (and I don't really want anyone to be nerfed), nerf those guys who were mind hitting meand taking me down in 1 shot. I had my mind buffed over 3.5k, and I am not kidding you, I didn't last 5 seconds.

No, TKA does not need to be nerfed. Before they nerf things they should FIX some stuff in this and other classes to see how things look when everything works.

I doubt anything will be nerfed in the short term sincemost likely most classes will end up changed a lot with the supposed combat revamp which is in the works. Its anyone's guess as to how ANY class will turn out after that. The only short term tka nerf that i think is 100% needed is to make melee damage mitigation effect tka as much as it does the other three melee classes. The way it is now is total BS.

I agree with Cho Naguriai, I was getting bored with my Pistol/CH combo and needed something new to keep my interest in this game. I choose TKA, as I have always enjoyed 'tank' classes in RPG's. I mastered TKA two weeks after starting 'casual play' (already had 300K combat xp from pistoleer).

It is no where near as 'Godly' as it is made out to be. Sure we can deal large amounts of damage but it is only in one form, I honestly felt I did better when I was a Pistoleer/CH (PVE atleast). PVP is I think all in all its about the same, if they get to close they are dead just learn some skills and know you shouldn't try and pistol whip a TK. In conclusion most of what I read on this board about TKA is hype from people that don't even play the class.

Another note, I don't dabble in all the defensive trees to be UBER in PvP. In my honest opinion that is what is going to get nerfed.

Honestly I don't care much for PvP at all in this game (item decay was the final straw), I do it, mostly because my friends like to. If I wanted to play a game with good PvP I will fire up my good old DAoC account and go RvR (which is starting to get worse with every patch aswell, oh well).

In addition when the developersstop allowing defenses to stack, a lot of people are going to get easier to hit, and the nerf criers will move on to their next prey. If the developers still allow defense modifiers to stack, I fully expect we'll get nerfed in some manner.

Nerf Nerf, Nerf you fockers into oblivion, we, the august members of that sacred fraternity of Star Wars Purists demand a complete removal of the TKA, and Creature handler, as such riduclous and perverse creations ruin the essential flavor of 'Star Wars'. I know TKA are included in the Expanded Universe, but that is my point .

Begone, go meditate
