Thread: How many/who are the 100% Kinetic resist mobs?

As someone close to novice TKA (and who was hesitant due to FOTM and hologrinders as well as this issue), can you masters or experienced persons answer the above?

I'm trying to gauge how much of an impact having only one damage type has....how much does it limit what you can do in PvE? Are many of the higher end mobs very resistant to kinetic?

Most of them are highly resistant to Kinetic - but the only 100% mobs I can think of are the peko peko albatross and the higher level nightsisters. There might be a few boss-type mobs too.

The real problem is that most high level mobs are around 80% kinetic resistant and have medium armour (our VKs are only light armour piercing). In reality - you're best to group with others and occupy the mob's attention, throw on state effects (blind, intimidate, etc) and let them do the real damage.

As far as normal everyday PvE, we do just fine. The damage comes fast and I at least love to watch the combos chain together.

Actually nightsister elders have like 5% kinetic resist, or maybe 15% but it was low.

Jowab, Nightsister Elders have 100% Kinetic with Heavy Armor. Along with 330k HAM.

Lothos, there are plenty of high-level things to beat on as a solo TKA, I've done a lot of it. Many of the Nightsisters and Singing Mountain Clan out there are doable solo with buffs, if they aren't in too big of a group. Enraged rancors are also quite fun, if easy as a buffed master. But don't count on KD/Dizzy, it's quite hard to apply those to high-level stuff. You'll end up getting yourself killed trying to get them falling down, and they still manage to get in shots between falls.

In short, if you'd rather try something as a duo, feel free to send me a tell. My in-game name is Sesshoumaru and I'm usually up for a romp.

P.S. Fort Tusken is your friend.

most high level ham npc's 20k + hamve medium armour and a high kinetic resists and it is almost impossible to effectivly land a knockdown/dizzy combo on them best thing you can do is get some others to help out and as was said b4 use warcry/intimidate to delay/solw there damage down

not meaning to hijack this thread, but at 100% kin resists we can do ZERO damage correct? i mean unless they have light or no armor and we're using VKs

100% resists mean 0 DMG. Regardless of armor piercing or anything else otherwise. 100% resist is a 100% resist.

Hmm, I must've had it confused with the spellweavers. Was in one of the caves on dath, the last room had 3 spellweavers and an elder. One of them had 100% kinetic and the other one had 100% energy (among other stats with 100%).

100% kinetic mobs are rare enough that it's not a big problem. Usually the 100% kin mobs are tough enough to take you down without the resistance anyways. (force powers do all sorts of nasty stuff)

Ok but does the significant damage and KD+Dizzy of the TKA make the high kinetic resist mobs still doable (just take longer) or are TKMs severely limited in what they can solo do to this?
