Thread: Advice on getting XP for Novice?

I'm just wondering what you guys think is the best way to get the Unarmed XP for Novice TKA. I'm not interested in making money doing missions while getting the XP. With the new changes to bleeds, is the old Bleed/VK method still viable? And no, I'm not hologrinding, just going for Master Smuggler/Master Pistoleer/TKA Master.

Thanks in advance.

Or if you can't afford buffs and armor ect.. then simply go to Naboo and hunt Hermit Spiders. The basic Hermit spider is CL7 with 300 HAM, very low damage and very low attack speed. They'll give you around 105 unarmed exp and spawn like hell from lairsso you'll find the exp rolling in from what amounts to one hit kills. If you get really lucky you'll find a lair which spawns Sentry Hermit Spiders these are fantastic for exp since they have around 450 HAM, low damage and attack speed like the normal spider and give around 520 exp. They can usually be killed in around 2-3 hits. They also have social AI so it's best to attack them first if you are dealing with a lair. Sometimes when you're surrounded by a few a simple spin attack will usually hit all of them and wipe out half their HAM. The Queens and Guard which spawn out of the lairs as 'boss' are another matter entirely, they're a bit tougher plus they don't give much more exp than the Sentrys. On the whole though I've found that these are great since the typical hermit spider lair spawns these things in massive amounts, it's not uncommon to find a lair surrounded by over a dozen spiders if it's taken a bit of a beating.

All I can say is banthas, just go to the krayt graveyard (should be a player city you can take a shuttle to) then just go find the spawns the red agro feral banthas they give 2k xp if your grouped with a pet and are very easy to take out.

No bleed is no longer a friend to TKA leveling. And yes, VK will still increase your general attack speed and may be good to use for grinding up to novice.

Some good buffs including Master Dancer and Musician buffs will more then make up for the time and money you spend on them.

Good luck.

Everything you need from Unarmed I to Novice TKA!

Buffs: You NEED buffs. Otherwise you will find yourself very, very dead.

Angerian Fishak:+500 Mind. Goes with buffs so you dont die in mind.

Muon Gold: +500 Mind/Focus/Willpower. I'd go with Fishak over Muon because Fishak has no downer.

70% Kinetic Resist Ubese: You don't NEED it, but it helps a lot. (If you have 100k to spare.)

Pets/Droids: Helps you tank and do a little more damage.

Grouping: XP+ Bonus, and if you hunt with a group you can blow through creatures fast, though maybe not getting insane XP.

Berserk: USE IT! Its all you need to use when fighting.

Intimidate: It helps, you can use it, but you dont need to.

Warcry: I found it to help a lot, especially if you get them frozen in the kneeling position. (10 second delay.)

Creatures To Hunt: When grouped, hunt anything with a low kinetic resist. Pikets, Huurtons (especially Huurtons) work very well. Alone, hunt Cu Pas, Giant Worrts, and other things. For anything else check the Brawler board.

NOTE: The bleed methods DO NOT work anymore. Sure you can still bleed, but bleeds have been nerfed, dealing less that 100 per tick, AND the bleeds only gives you the XP of the weapon you used the bleed with.

Thank you!

i recently just made novice, and heres a great way to do it.

First, go to dant. Make sure you have speed sliced VK's. If you dont, not a problem. Go to the mining outpost, on my server theres always doctors and people grouping there.

Buffs: For my strategy, you wont need them at first.

Armor: You'll never need it.

Muon: MUST have. Fishak is nice and all, but muon will seriously decrease some ham costs to the mind, and increase regen rates. Though it has a downer, i find it better to use than fishak.

VKs: You definetly need these, especially fast ones. However, if you cant afford them, theres a way...

Basically, I'd suggest getting buffs and crates of muon. Dont have the money to get it? On dant, keep refreshing the missions until you find Lesser Plains Bols missions (something like that, they give around 1k creds) They have like 900 ham, the lair spawns a bunch of them and they spawn pretty fast. Even better, they arent social so you can take them out 1 by 1. At unarmed 4, these guys are cake. With speed sliced VKs, use beserk on them. If you dont have VKs, still use beserk, or just use something like unarmed hit 1. Doing around 200 dmg with unarmed hit 1 at unarmed 4, these lesser plains bols wont take long. I beleive they give around 290 at tera kasi novice, so most likely a tad more at unarmed 4.

Even better, the lesser plains bols dont do much dmg. At unarmed 4, I spent all of my time on dant. When i could afford buffs, or group with people i would. With my speed sliced VKs, I'd hit fast (1.6 speed) in beserk. and if your in a group, most of the time you'd have people healing you, other people tanking etc.

Basically, I killed lesser plains bols for money and xp, and when i could afford buffs i would get them, and then kill huurtons and such.

If you can afford stuff, get buffed and get crates of muon. make sure you got your speed sliced VKs. Now just killed quenkers (not savage ones) or huurton packs. Fastest way. Even better is if you have a friend that is trying to get unarmed xp as well, its awesome to kill huurtons with another unarmed 4friend.

Hope some of this helps
