Thread: Best way to climb the TKA tree?

As title suggests.
I've looked through the FAQ, and nothing really seems to confirm this, I'd suggest that whoever wrote it (I forget their name) should take note of whoever replies to this thread, and add it to the FAQ, as this would be most useful to new TKAs.

Mate, its different for everyone!
Some people who hunt solo without buffs and armor, are mostly taking the Balance tree first, and then moving on to the others... Some people like dabblers just take meditate line first, for power boost!
But overall the best way is the Power tree!!!
Mate... One golden rule when it comes to combat grinding: More damage you do to your target = More XP you get!
Balance 1-4 gives you 15+ speed and 15+ damage in each box... thats 60+ speed and 60+ damage!!! Makes quite a difference!
Though some people are saying you get more xp when your target is Kockdowned!
You get KD from Balance 1, so it might be a good idea to take that one first! and then take power 1-4, after balance 1!
But its different for people!
The best suggestion I can give you is too have fun... Sure its cool to be a strong TKM, but just enjoy the road, and then the experience will be better once you reach master

Powers tree is exactly what I was doing anyway, I am 0-1-3-2
But yeah, you're right, embrace the profession, and I must say, I am definitely having fun!

I think the only way to climb the tree quickly is to go

* on the last line cause that's gonna fill however it wants to. But you should go power, balance, meditate that will get you there the quickest. Also once you get to 014* area get thune missions on dantooine. With full buffs, brandy, canope and 70% ubese they go down quick and will give you in the area of 50K unarmed xp PER mission if you milk the lair correctly.

The one progression that I modeled my toon after was to get balance 1 first for knockdown.

After you get TKA go to dathomir and get buffed, put on some armor and find a non solo enraged rancor hunting group. Make sure you have a nice speed sliced VK also, Vasarian brandy and canape are a must too with the armor on.
Start going up the power tech tree first. get to 4 filling in precision striking with the combat xp as you go. After that go all the way up the balence tree and then finally the meditative tree. I did this pretty much exclusively at dathomir, worked great you get about 5k xp per ER, times 7 per lair. and the $36k payout is great.
