I left...and just came back. I am a MD/TKM with a bit of scout to harvest. Now, i will have to sacrifice my template I have had since June of 2003. Yes i was one of the first TKM on my sever and one of the first MD on my server...I like to game alone..not a grouper. this allowed me to travel or wonder the wastelands and enjoy exploring the lands. Speeders killed that and shuttle travel also tainted this. Ok i still had my wondering ways and my services that would benefit the traveler i encountered. The revamp will force me to do what i do not like..will force me to be something I do not need to have. Probably the single most forced change is to make us take an extra line. Make us week, make us have no armor, but force us to use more skill points? In my RL profession we have guidelines to certain areas of business...these guidelines are very specific and are better than the min guilelines provided by state legislation or federal legislation...that means...we can do better, but never worse than the state or feds...I know this seems confusing, but the BH revamp decreased the points needed...therefore openend up the possibility of new ideas...this revamp will take away from players...i know the disclaimers say gameplay may change, but is it not to change for the better? perhaps we all shouldbe reduced back to 0xp and all novice...wipe the slate clean...if you wil have us play a new system, then perhaps we should just call the last year and a half the beta test and allow us to keep are pride and give everyone some special prizes for the new world order. And while we're reseting everything...lets get rid of player cities...I have always hated them..they ruined the mystery of a planet and the thrill of travel. /end rant.

You just need 2 medic threes for doc now, instead of Master Medic.

So you get 20 Skill points more to spend then before.

yes you get more skill points but as master TK you are now as effective as a Novice Brawler on Live

Agreed. I suggest anyone not testing TC-EP3 to do so and submit your feedback over your findings. Just report what you see and don't flame. If I were a dev reading it, I would ignore a flame.

I'm sure the 'real balance' is due to come. It is still a testing environment so it is reasonable to expect change.

i enjoy the master medic line...what would they wish to change that? What is this grand plan they have that seems to really be odd...where can we make sense of it all...stop the insanity,

Well I feel for you guys,

I tried TKM, with Mcarb, and Pistoleer XX44 on TC. I thought it would be nice to add TKM tank to that ranged combo.

Well I tried L81 Mynoks on Lok, I had been doing with MBH/Mcarb Pistol XX44. I could kite them down with the carb like before. I then tried them pure melee with "TKM armor" and just TKM specials. I had 4.5k life, full buffs from the frog and an overall combat level of L80. My ranged/melee D was near or over 200 each. I got hit every round for max damage and it never missed. The game subtracted my mitigation which came out to be 285 points, if I recall correctly. In any case there was no way I could kill this thing before it ate right through my health. I got KD to stick once, and tried advanced centering a second time to extend my life.

If they expect you guys to "tank" this needs to be looked at, IMO. Right now if you want to solo dangerous mobs above your level even by one, I'd suggest range root, snare, intimidate kiting.

You should not test anything on lok, neither anything above cl 55.

sorry, but this is one of the few threads which deserve the name whine fest.

You get extra skill points and still complain, why changing this?Just look at the skill threes(or havent you been on tc at all??)

one line for crafting=job of the bio engineer in cu,so why should doc use this?

one line for range healing and debuffs=Combat medics job,why should doc use this?

It is all logical.

The only "lost" usefull skill ist master medic, with nice improvment sfor augmentation and medicine effectivness.

So if you really want to be better than a doc,you could also become master medic instead of some other nice skills you could buy.

it is just like your example
