I would apreciate an opinion:

TKA is a MAster of unarmed combat that has polished every possible skill to make his body a lethal weapon. In STAR WARS, books and comics, TKA's or something very close like it are often used in fights against JEDI. (Jedi that fight agains ranged oponents make boring stories because they finish of their opponents to easily.)

For example:

In Shaterpoint (latest clone wars novel), Mace Windu a master Jedi and MAster of Vaapad fights agains KAR VAstor (non Jedi). Vastor beats MAce into a pulp ; while its true that mace did not use his Lightsaber and vastor uses the force in a primitive way, it was an unarmed combat that took place. Only the best of the two won.

It is also true that a Jedi withought his lightsabre might not be a match against ranged opponents. So we as TKA probably should not either. But if that is the case guive us vibro shields as in the aformentioned novel, or something to make us a little more dangerous and capable of combat in the game. Perhaps something like stealth or special armor that wont cost much in hams and only masters of the brawler profesions can use. Give us something even if the cost fore being some sort of "supercombatant" is making it getting there alot harder.

Ive also read comics in which non force users experts in martial arts are a match agains jedi. There is one comic in which 2 nitko fight against twileck jedi Ayla SEcura and QUinlan Vos and give them a run for their money. Then again it is true that in order to block lightsabers they used cortosis staffs.

Another comic shows Darth maul taking the entire Black Sun guild. At this moment he was supposed to be in hidding so the emperor told him to keep a low profile. He fought all of his oponents basically through his tka skills among other skills of close quarter combat he has.

I still dont believe that we should be able to walk into the middle of a battlefield and be able to come out victorios, and if we do come out victorious it should not be easy. And I certainly dont believe we should be Jedi.People consider that in the clone wars movie, a very large number of jedi died while pulling this stunt. And they do have weapons that can deflect blasters, we dont. We can only dodge them (if it were the case) for so long. I believe that the role of a TKA or any non ranged profesion is to be a back up for ranged ones. We can finish up what they start quickly if we play intelligently. We should be more like Ninja Assasins, in order to make a hit count we need to use our brains, not our brawn.

I still think ranged opponents should be slowed down if they attempt to run and shoot at the same time; either that or they should miss a lot more. There's no way someone should be able to run at full speed and still hit a moving target consistenly! A lot of ranged specials should only be allowed when they are stationary. Also, I think Novice elite brawlers should have a semi-burst run move. It would be faster than normal running, but not as quick as burst run; I think this is realistic because brawler training is more physically demanding than squeezing a trigger! Anyways, I agree with corsarioboricua, if brawlers rush a bunch of marksmen in an open field, more brawlers should die than marksmen. However, as things stand in the game, all of the brawlers end up dying and all of the marksmen live because of cheap kiting. Check out my post below and let me know what you think:
