I love my subject lines!

Anyways, let me start out by saying I play this game in a tight circle of friends. Various nerfs (seeminly the same old same old) and other (quite honestly) repetitive nonsense in this game has made that circle shrink from 3 to 1.. So now its just me left, and I'm sticking out the last 2 months of the three month deal.

My thoughts on TK:

1) PvP will never be fixed - They've outright said don't bring a knife to a gunfight (although a VK isn't a friggin knife - read the description in the manual, it says it is BLUNT!!). And they could really care less it seems. Nerfing is the SOE Staff motto, so get used to it. So prepare for endless kiting of your class. However, I would just LOVE to point out that many of us who bought the game did so because of the PvP element. So really, half of the game I thought I bought really isn't there. What a disappointment.

2) Everyone complains about it with adequate premise: "Why are our defense stats agains KD and blind so low? Especially when me are the ONLY MARTIAL ARTISTS in the game?" Yup. This absolutely sucks. So far most people are saying to take up another skill with defense mods, like.. you know.. a GUN skill.. You know what? SCREW THAT. I ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT grind my way through another combat skill just so I can be a little better of a TKA.. Isn't the profession system suppoosed to lend itself to making a character that can do more than just fight? Gee, well it would if crackheads didn't design it. I'm not giving up my doctor title to get a little better defensively, and If the game designers keep trying to push another combat class on me I'm gunna puke in a box and airmail it to holocron.

So thats all I choose to complain about (TK-wise). I've been nerfed, re-nerfed, de-nerfed, and I still come up feeling nerfed in PvP. I really thought the GCW would be fun. I should have remembered who was desigining it.

OH YEAH, speaking of the GCW, here's a sploit that people have been using on bloodfin:

They build an imperial faction base right next to the rebel outpost on rori.. Then they make it a private structure. Then they build a personal house out there, make that private and I think they have a covert detector in there. Do I have to ask why the faction bases can be made private? I know the answer from SOE -- "we're sorry it was an oversight." TRANSLATION - "We're all a bunch of retards up here and we've gotten NOTHING right from the get-go in this game, but the graphics are REALLY COOL"

I'd like to extend a BIG OLE ONE FINGER SALUTE to the hopeless group of failures who designed this game. Thanks to you I've been shown how NOT to design a MMORPG. For those who feel the same as me please extend my salutations to the design team by joining me in your posts with a /OneFingerSalute!

Yay, another angry player like me. I'd join you in the salute but I haven't logged in yet this morning so I'm still in a relatively good mood thinking, "It's not THAT bad, it's still a decent game." Give me a little online time tho and I'm sure my mood can be altered to accomodate it...just lemme go get disconnected for the 6th time in the past couple days because of the sound bugging out and crashing me to desktop in the middle of a pvp battle, then log back in to find my pet dead and myself rolled back a half hour or dead as well...that should get me in the appropriate frame of mind (yes it's happened 5 times so far, and I've sent a bug report everytime but do I think the issue will ever be fixed? hah!). Or maybe I'll be ready when the next nerf hits and our defenses are dropped because we can live for 2 seconds against an at-st instead of 1 second (/sarcasm off).

Ahh heck, all I need to get in the mood for the salute is go pvp against some kiter and run on top of him for half a minute getting "That target is out of range" messages before he kills me...and I'll be back here adding my salute.

Until then, I guess I'll just have to say that I know exactly how you feel and welcome to the ABTKAF (Angry and Bitter Teras Kasi Artists Foundation).

This would be more appropiate for the Discussion Forum then the TKA forum. And even if you did bring it there, chances are it would be locked. Usually when people are discussion problems, they come up with a solution for the problem...puking in a box and mailing it the devs will solve nothing. If you need to rant, that's fine, just be aware that the board policy is no ranting....

Yeah, they don't like negative press on their own boards, they prefer everyone to think that everyone else is happy with the way things are so they'll go back to playing thinking the problem must be with them.

Oh by the way, just got crash number 6 five seconds after starting a duel with another player. I'm pissy about it but dunno if I'm quite angry enough yet. I'll let you know.

Woohoo, it's been a half hour since my game crashed from that bug and I still can't log back in yet, can't connect to the galaxy, just sits on that stupid screen with it's little marker waving back and forth back and forth...back...and...forth...back...and...*yes soe, I will do as you say*

I love SWG, it's awesome, everything is perfect, everyone should play it, there are no bugs, pvp is wonderful, if I get angry it's because I'm stupid, soe listens to our suggestions, everything is wonderful now...

Woohoo, I logged in finally, immediately got attacked by another player, but guess what, hecrashed too. Yay soe! So I turn off my sound and run over to attack him and guess what again? Crash number 7, yes! I've been trying to play for over an hour and have spent maybe 15 minutes actually logged in.

On the bright side I guess this bug isn't related tosound, since turning it offdidn't keep the game from crashing again, but on the not so bright side that means I have no idea what's causing it. All I know is that now I can't participate in combat for fear of crashing.

I wonder, should I cancel my account now or just wait till my payment runs out at the endof the month...hrm

Think I'll go play some Soul Caliber 2

Wow is it just me or does it sound like I'm ranting?

Have you checked all your drivers? I never crash to my desktop and if this was a widespread problem, I'm sure the Discussion board would be full of people....discussing it.

Also, what are the specs of your system? Have you tried lowering some of your settings? Definitely check those drivers tho...usually if its something like sound making you crash, you have an outdated or corrupted driver to blame...
