Thread: Chalk One Up For The TKAs!
I was in the medical center the other day after going to the cantina, and there were a couple of opposing overt faction members that came over to the medical center intent on killing any wounded and medical personnel healing them. One of them had a Sludge Panther which they set on a Wookiee TKA. The Wookiee had the Sludge Panther almost completely down, but was near death himself, so I dropped a heal on him, knowing it would earn a TEF for me. The Wookiee then dispatched the second player Vixx, again through his TKA skills.
The first player, the one with the Sludge Panther, was a Master Commando by the name of Tamrael (Clan BlackBlade). I did not know where she was, so I was keeping an eye out for her since I had earneda TEF for myself by healing the Wookiee she and her Panther were fighting. I walked outside and spotted her down by the cantina, being healed by another member of her faction. Figuring she would come back to medical again, and knowing I did not want to be caught out in the open where she could easily blast me with her flamethrower, I went back into the medical center and went upstairs. I figured I would force herinto CQB (Close Quarters Battle)if she wanted to get me.
Sure enough, she came into medical looking for me, and tried to shoot me through the ceiling while she stood down below. Seeing that it did not work, she came up in the elevator, and I was waiting. I started hitting her with specials while she blasted at me with her flamethrower. She did not manage to ignite me (Good thing, as the only armour I wear is a pair of Mabari Boots), and was dismayed to find that I was able to simply run in circles around the elevator shaft until I decided to stop and hit her with another special. Finally she unequipped her flamethrower and switched to Vibro Knucklers (Her best move appeared to be UnarmedHit2), at which point a friend of hers arrived and started to heal her. I just managed to finish her off (I believe it was after thethird heal) and deathblow her. I tell you, it was the best 13 faction points I have earned in this game thus far. 
Yes, the Brawler classes need some serious work to make them more viable in PvP, but until that is done, picking your ownbattleground is a big help.

Are you sure she was a master commando though? I'm pretty sure all the commando flamethrower specials ignite.
Also, unarmedhit2 is probably our best random pool attack. Half the HAM cost of UAHit3, and about 3/4's the damage.
Yes, I am sure she is a Master Commando. I had seen her around frequently before as a Novice Commando, and she did not get the title until after they fixed the title exploit.
It may not have been UnarmedHit2, now that you mention it. I will log in a bit later and doublecheck to see which one it was.
The Wookiee TKA went off chasing Vixx, despite the fact that he was bleeding. He came back later, and we got healed up and buffed by a Master Doctor friend of mine (we had no buffs at the time of the battle) and we went looking for them so they could "take advantage" of their revenge TEF, but they decided that discretion was the better part of valour. Tamrael got healed up in medical and went home, and I believe Vixx ran all the way to the next city after he got a TEF from healing her during our fight.
Anwar (The Wookiee TKA) may have amore completeview of things, he was already fighting the Sludge Panther when I joined in the action. I actually got an adrenaline rush during that fight, the likes of which I have not had since the last real fight I was in.
That is the way I saw it, thus why I left out factions. A win for Teras Kasi is a win for Teras Kasi. Did not want it to dissolve into, "You **edit** (Insert name of disliked faction here), you just (Insert name of disliked game behaviour here), etc."
I suppose I should retract that statement about Tamrael's intent. I have dealt with many members of Clan BlackBlade (Even avenged the death of one that was wrongfully defeated in a duel due to outside healing on the other party which allowed them to regain conciousness first and deliver a Death Blow) and they have been nice folks throughout.
Our battle probably reads like World War II as told from both the American and the Japanese perspective (Barely recognizable as the same conflict when reading the history of said conflict as toldin the two different countries). They may have had another reason for being in there, such as a party they were engaged in combat with running into there to provoke a possible misconception.
my best was last night while we controlled Anchorhead with just 15 imps, and no pets.
I was covert (TKM) and grouped w/ cov's and overts.
last guy i was attacking was a BH...did a kd2 on him, but since dizzy doesnt work often anymore, he was up and runnin...did as many mind hits as i could before he ran outta range.
he had me chasing him all around AH tryin to get up, goin underneath the lil bridge, and then he finally stopped when i managed to get a lunge on him...finally hit his mind again and incapped him...even w/ armor on, i only had about 50 health left.
my group was pulling out (after owning AH for over 30 mins), so I did a db and ran off to the east, took off my armor, did a quick heal, and meditated in safety.
gotta love when you actually catch the ranged
but there were 2 times where i couldnt catch up, the only 2 times i died that night.

I went to dantoooine with a combat medic and doctor. I used muron gold to boost my mind and had the combat medic stand and heal me as I tanked a 40k hp huurton lair, purposly allowing the 2 initial guard dogs to attack me. needless to say my hit3 took it down within a span of 10secondsand I walked with a full set of health and action and only half drained mind. Im sure I could have healed myself since I am first aid 4 and it would have taken a bit longer with the lair not to mention my mind would be a bit more drained.
Looks like the current nerf on the lairs is still less than the TKA ability. +40 to tka dmg we got was not a nerf..I have no idea why everyone complains about us being nerfed. If you can make it to TKA master you ARE a force to be reckoned with. If you are like me and have smuggler low blow, or some ranged KD + decent medic skills, lets just say you are an annoyance to take out.
