i guys,

I´ll be getting Novice TKA today, after a few days grinding unarmed!!!!

Now getting to Novice TKA I have a few questions, I know they have been answered before but I can´t really find them, and if you´re kind enough it´ll only take you 5 minutes to answer my newbie questions.

1- What should be my andvancement order in TKA tree? I was thinking about power line... give me tips here.

2- Should I still be using Bersek at Novice TKA? if not, what attacks should I be using?

3- I was thinking about buying some ubese armor with HIGH KINETIC RESIST 69% (one of the best I can get on my server) and use doctors buffs, is it a good combo, or should I just don´t use armor?

4- Always use VK? take them off for specials them put it on again?

5- Any other tips that I would find usefull in my way to Master Teras Kasi?

Advancement order is pretty much a personal thing. What you feel your needs are will differ from someone elses depending on your other professions/skills.

As a Master Dancer without any other fighting skills, I chose to go up the tree evenly. I am now at 2222 and am so far very happy with my choice to go this route. My way of thinking was that if I had a skill available to me that I wasn't using, I was not bettering myself as quickly as possible.

As for choosing out of the 3 that become available to me at once, the order I amusing is Balance, Power, Meditation. This has kept me very well rounded rather than over proficient (if there is such a thing) in one skill and poorly lacking in another.

As for your question about Berserk at Novice..I needed to find new strategies at that point. It was using too much mind and not doing enough damage. And yes...always special (debuffs)with your VKs unequipped, unless it is a damage move (i.e. unarmedhit1) and you are going in for a quick finish and can afford the mind.

I don't know anything about armor..can't help you with that one.

ok got the TKA Novice.

I went killing some stuff to try it out and man it rocks!!!

now this is the tactic I´m using:

-unequip VK

- Intimidate 1

- Unarmed Stun 1

- Unarmed Blind 1

(Repeat until taget is intim, stun and blind)

- Unarmed Hit 2

- Unarmed Hit 2

- Equip VK

- simple attack, untill target goes down.

what you guys think about it? should I still be using my brawler/unarmed skills at TKA Novice? or should I just stick with unnarmed hit 2?

I bought a set of Ubese armor with 69% Kinetics and this thing is great I recomend to anyone!

ohh and another question.

I tried Meditation at TKA Novice and nothng happenes, I didn´t cure my wounds and didn´t cure poison. Is it useful for anything at TKA Novice? at what meditation level I start to see something usefull?

If I was to do TK over again I would do my skills in the following order:

Power 1
Balance 1
Meditate 4
Power 2-4
Balance 2-4

I believe your meditation at 4 is sufficient to heal wounds and getting Powerboost earlier can be a great leveller for some mobs.

Basically I think anything that means I don't need to waste time sitting in a medical centre getting healed is good for me.

69% Ubese is a great investment when going toe-to-toe especially against npc types I've found.

Novice - Slow and stop bleeding
Level 1 - Slow and stop poison
Level 2 - Slow and stop disease
Level 3 - Better at stopping the above affects but nothing new
Level 4 - Heals wounds

I went/am going in this order:

Balance I

Power I

Meditate I-IV

Power I-IV

Balance I-IV

i never had much problems with VK special cost except knockdown. for this i used a macro

/ui action toolbarSlot13;/unarmedhit2;/ui action toolbarSlot13

where in slot 13 i had my knucklers. you may need a pause in there i can remember and can't check right now. so play with it and if it seems like your ham cost is too high slip a /pause 1 into the macro
