Here is how I see it. There are a few reasons for the new "wave" of TKAs comming all the sudden.

1.) Commandos are becomming TKA's: After the 2.5x melee damage to them, they couldn't hold their own very well. Since they knew TKA was powerful, and they already had Unarmed IV, why not go TKA?

2.) People think TKA is the new "cool" thing just like Commando was. Commandos were scarce before the update to fix them.Afterward, everyone went Commando. Now that the wave of Commandos is gone, they and others have decided to go to the next "fad". TKA is something you really don't see too often. Admit it. A month ago, you didn't see too many of us. Well, everyone decided it was cool, and other people were doing it, so they would. You also have to admit, that once you get 1/2 way into TKA, we are good fighters. Better than most in PvE. That drew people as well.

3.) Last but not least, TKA's are getting fixed. Just like the Commando fix, we will see a horde of people comming in, so be ready for them.

It makes people think im just a 1337 d00d following all the fads lol, but im not.

I went commando and they fixed it, so everyone went commando, im a CH, and i recently went TKA before all these fixes were coming and now everyone went TKA.

I liked being rare as a pikeman, but commando/tka/ch is too fun. I love the style of TKA, like warrior monks hehe.

I dunno, on Eclipse theyre still kinda hard to find. Then again it could just be the times I play. I agree that theyre still starting to pop up more often, but the ones I see are TKA/CH. Whats the point of becoming a self tank when you got pets going the work for you.

The bandwagoners are the ones thinking that theyll rule PvP, theyre in for a nasty shock. A well trained BH is the best PvP in my opinion. Its just what theyre built for.

My prediction for the furture is that everyone will flock to TKA, try it, and relize that were not PvP gods. Everyone will get mad and theyll start to move away. Then Combat Medics will get their fix and everyone will flock to them. Just my prediction.

4.) all other melee profs blow big gobs of frothing vomit.

deciding to boost my armorsmithing skills with slicing fom smuggler was the greatest thing i ever did. was a pikeman before that, am 1 box from mastering brawler now (doing the holocron-less quest for jedihood, yay!), and am soooooo glad the devs made unarmed 4 a req for smuggler even tho it really makes no sense.

They pay their $15/month, let them play it as they want.

All this flocking isn't a bad thing, allow me to educate the professions I've participated(didn't master them all, though) in...


Hit Ctrl + S, hi all skills, look down the list. My favorite prof is TKA. If I didn't pickup and drop so many damned skills I would never have found it. Now I absolutely LOVE Commando/TKA. This flocking will eventually die down as people find something they enjoy, so please, take a seat and breate

i agree, the game is new... sometimes it takes alot of buzz about a profession to get people to try it, and when they do they either wish they would have started with it, or dont want to find the time to get good at it and move on. All professions are viable in pvp, its just how you play them. Not saying some dont need fixed, but basically no one has a serious edge, ive killed every class, and been killed by every class.

Just have fun, everyone will settle in, and we can all sit back and wait for the new content / space expansion... and then we get to start all over again with elite-elite professions hehe =)

well i am a commando whois goign tka im a 4 4 4 1 commando so i am no flame 4 dabbler. the reason why i am going TKA is i am already deadly with in 20m, why not get the defences assosiated with TKA along with meditate. i have always wanted a compleatly self suffeciant char. so healing my own wounds in the feild would be great. so TKA is a the newest addition to my char. i enjoy trying out diffrent things anyway so far i have been MANY. profecions musican doc pistoller commando and armorsmith. Now a tka levleing is fun.

alot of those people just are after our meditation line, most dont really want to be full blown TKMs because they realize that melee even though TK is good, suffers hard in this game.

ive said it before and i'll say it again, power boost simply needs to be put into master TK box. this is not somthing that is going to hurt tks as we have had to level w/o it for ever, all this will do is discourge the random FOTM bandwagoner from dabbling the nerf bat into our direction, because of the influx of people going into TK. Granted once your master, then your master, and the perks should apply then. leveling should be a grind, should be hard, i dont see a need to give all these perks that they are suggesting into low lvl trees in TK, leaving the master high and dry once people bitch enough and whine enough that they think we are not as **edit**ty as the pikemen and thus need to be nerfed.

no offense pikemen , really none intended, i feel your pain guys, just that i know were the whiners will point their fingers next.

This class still needs work, and if they touch my TK im going to burn down somones house! ok bit extreme but i love this class too much to see the bandwagoners ruin it.

this exlcudes all who are truly seeking the path of the TK and allits rewards and hard work. to those guys, more power to ya, keep grinding.

I play in radiant and I have met only 4 tk masters since i started the game. I myself am a master commando which i volunteered to become to assist my guild with the,at the time,threat of at-st's. Now that im master commando Im feeling like its time to move on im ingeneral not happy with it. I know that melee professions r not easy. I hold TKA's wiht great respect and think that they are fun to watch in action. I in no way feel that I am jumping on any kind of band wagon for doing so. If I wanted to join the crowd i would go BH/pistoleer and spam eyeshot scripts like most of the lamer kids do now. I think that the very fact that this skill requires some degree of skill and strategy to be used effectly is what also turns me onto it. just my two credits...

I fail to see why this is a problem. And what does "Be ready for them" mean?. In what way should I prepare for an unknown number of potential Teras Kasi that will or will not arrive in an unknown amount of time?

I dunno, could also be maybe that a fun class (TKA) is made even more fun. People like fun things.

Just to upset all the dabblers. Power boost should be put into the master's box along with battle fatigue healing. When they can't heal battle fatigue they'll be upset. At least I think so.

Just I just saw an elitest thread like this in the CH forum. Why is having a good tree that attacts people a bad thing. Would you rather we sucked and no one wanted to be TKA...
