I read the amazing defenses in store for Pistoleers. I was just wondering if anyone else is a little bothered that a ranged profession has better defense and resistances than a TKM.
The KD resist is the most disturbing!..... TKM +20, Master Pistol +50!!
What are the devs thinking?

I think if i have to hit 6 m (without VK range deduction) and stand still to KD them with TKA, then I should win hands up, because it is quite easy to kite.. so if they get that, then we need something to make us still somewhat aggresive in close range to a master pistoleer. Perhaps more ranged defenses?

well i heard if someone when master brawler/tka, its under the ultimate pvp tamplet or something liek that, would have ranged defence of 136 and melee defence of 150+ and knockdown of 100 and some other things

Maybe you weren't paying attention but the +155 Defense Acuity kinda makes up for whatever TKM lacks in specific defenses. If what's been posted is correct, that's like having +155 to dodge/counterattack/block. Um. That's a lot.

I'm not particularly worried about anything any of the classes get. In PvP the only thing I worry about is skilled, cool-headed PvPers. These guys will down you faster than any button-masher no matter the tools.

Adding pistoleer has always been what I wanted to do. Just that as melee I need medic and I need the survey skill for business ventures. My character's background story involved TKA, smuggler and marksman, but I went pistoleer because being a smuggler, and a weak gunfighter at that, didn't seem right to me.

Amen man...the truly good ones (I strive to be so) can kill you with very little skills, they just know how to make your environment/circumstances work against you....to make even your skills useless in the situation...to make all hope of you winning disappear and you won't even realize until it happens. That's PvP done right, that's what we need to work towards.

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. I'm gonna master TKA and Pistoleer.
