I like spining a pole around and the melee skill mods I get.

if you want an all brawler template i would'vedone master tka/master brawler/doc 0/4/2/0 instead. there's not much use in having multiple elite melee prof masters when tka has everything you need and more. the master brawler is a HUGE plus for melee because you have lunge2 which is a 15m range KD move which also does high damage. also, you get warcry2 which i was told is an ae 20 second delay move. the doc skills allows you to revive people and buff yourself. get a good set of composite armor(a good set would cut down the damage youtake by 65% or more), buff yourself to add around 2k+ to each health and action stat, then powerboost on top of that to boost your HAM and you'll have a true TANK.

TshenQin, what do you mean by show? TshenQin, CharlieDeft thanks for the help I will consider them, but My friend says I have to have pike because he loves it. If I just cut swordsman what could I get as far as doc. skills?

Hmmm although it might seem nice in the end you will only have 14 points left. Thus no medic skills and no scout skills.

He might give a nice show on a party fighting with others, but i think even training him would be tedious.

Even though im a TKM i would not go without some healing skills, to many times it saved me in the nick of time. Although a mount can negate the terrain negotiation bit, i dont think that it is a good replacement.

Immagen you and your friends going to the squirl caves, it goes up and down and you lag behind the whole time getting into battle late, cant heal yourself so you have to rely on others all the time to keep an eye on you.

Personaly i think selecting 2 of those 3 and getting some healing and scouting skills would make a far more efective character that can stand in the end on its own 2 feet.

Show as in a performance fight with somebody else to entertain the masses *smiles*

Without Medic/Scout you will depend a lot on others. Without medic you cant heal during a fight, not yourself nor others, without scouting you cant make camps to call your mount. Limiting yourself. I got a friend who is command and more then often we have been in fights where our medic skills saved the day, because we could heal eachoter.

Further its not a question of what you friend likes, but mostly what YOU like. As you will have to play, train etc your character. If you yourself like the idea of pikeman then thats okay, im sure the devs will give them some more love in time. But swordsman or fencer might be a better 2nd brawler class.

I personaly believe one should try to make a complete character, thats balanced, so it can work alone and in team. As in the long term that would be more fun.

Having no scout is totally fine now with mounts and medic is nice but i have gone without it for along time and had no problems. With buffs and power up you can havehi enought stats so that you dont run out of ham during battle. Meditate 4 lets you heal your wounds So in the end all that medic lets you do is heal otrhers and use stim packs.

A well rounded character doesnt need to heal others and run fast. They can meditate buff up and kick serious butt. Its really a choice of play style.

I'd say not bad but: pick between Master Heavy Swordsman and Master Pikeman. (go for pikeman) They accomplish basically the same thing (don't think you can KD with heavy swordsman)

and there was much rejoicing...

Oh and I'd say if you go Pike, you gotta get some med skills (bad HAM costs)

and there was much rejoicing...

I wonder what your downtimes are after battle, or better what race/stats you have, are you using armor with high resists?

A well rounded character should be able to function as part of a group or alone, and in hunting the bigger game its important to stay up and fighting as a group, withough any medic skills you cant help in that department.

Stimms might cost money but so do things like armor and buffs to avoid using them, the insurance money. Personaly i favor Medic and simms over no medic and buffs + armor.
