So I was just planning on getting like 0004 or 2004 for the TKA line to help me with my battles as a pistoleer....but its so much fun being a TKA and they have so many interesting skills i might just have to be a master gunfighter and master tka how fun would that be!

Hehe, same thing happened to me with my first TKM. Planned to do 0304 TKAfor defence as I had Commando for offence.. Got hooked, got TKM, had to try again with better TKAsetup.. Got TKM again

Do I have to make a third? Maybe a Mon Cal TKM / Master doc

Or a TKM / Master Pistoleer / Master Smuggler (or Rogue and medic skills)

Or a TKM / Master Rifleman

The possibilities are endless

Ah, but there is a reason for that. Not the usual "browse the forum looking for the best template"

The first character is a BH, going for master some day. And since I am a norwegian on a american server it was sometimes hard to find a team. And since ranged profs cant tank I got a GSP to tank for me.

The second character, well, my first character started as a commando, but was broken at the time so I tried the second profession on my "to try list". Naturally my second was a commando, afterit got boosted in a patchand since commandos dont get any defence I picked up TKA for defencive purposes.

The third, well, loved TKM, but was really annoyed because of the twileks limitation on mind stats, so I made a human, and since I was really really tired of going around looking for buffs I picked up some doc skills to buff myself.

And no, its not original, but there is a reason that its not origianl. For us that dont want to pick up any non-combat skills, we tend to pick secondary skills to compliment our primary skills..

Did he say they were original? Are you insuating you were the original one to come up with these combos and anyone after you is unoriginal? I'm a little confused as to the pertinence of your comment considering he never claimed to be the founder of them. Or maybe you just wanted to draw attention to your sig file?

I was a dancer and so many people challenged me to duels in the cantina over time, or we would have rebs come in and attack an overt. I once saw a TKM really beat the crap out of a guy for my first time and I knew that I had to be able to do that. I thought it would complement my dancing, but in the end I had to give up dancing to continue my TKA. I am now almost Master TKA/Master DOC and that was only 2 weeks ago. I am having so much fun!!!!

The professions of this game are like 32 spice fiends in the same room with a few fences. Everyone is screaming for their their fix. If you try to give everyone a little bump at the same time, nobody will be satisfied and the screaming will never end. If you single out each one really hook them up , you will slowly end the screaming. I know my turn is coming, but it still does not ease the pain of realizing I am nobody's favorite ho. Well I was a Master Bounty Hunter but I got bored with that so I wanted to try something that was completely different than what I was used to and let me tell you that I'm having more fun now than I ever did as a Bounty Hunter. I'm only 0/0/2/1 right now in Teras Kasi and I'm able to take things out that I'd never have dreamed of trying alone as a bounty hunter. I will admit that I got a little worried going up the unarmed tree in brawler though but once I got novice Teras Kasi I could tell the difference immediately. Anyway, I'm hooked now and I'm dabbling around with supporting professions but I will definately become a master at this one.

Well it happens all the dabbers, end up becoming masters. I really dont like this, but oh well.

The funny thing is...it's like coming full circle for me...When I first started playing I wanted to be a TKM...I focused on my unarmed skills only...then I read a suggested to get /healthshot1; to help with the unarmed grind...from that I got hooked on ranged combat, but continued with my unarmed training...by the time I finished unarmed 4 I was slightly burned out on unarmed grinding...so I looked at where I could go from there...Commando looked quite inviting so I went on to become a Master Commando...once that was completed I decided to balance my character, but in a way, ended up returning to my original dream...

so...what's not to like about that? Someone who initially dabbles and is swept up by the idea of TKM should be welcomed, not a thing to shun...it shows just how great your profession is...otherwise everyone would just get what they need and leave...

We all dabble...unless of course you don't have any secondary skills at all and a huge supply of skill points just lying around...all professions complain about dabblers, and inturn all dabble in another profession...it's funny if you think about it...

Why don't you like it? Because the more people that become Master the less "elite" you feel? Or is it because you feel you have some ownership over the profession because you mastered it before someone else? Curious as to why what other people do in regards to their professioneffects you in the least bit.
