Was waiting for a port to Coronet. Friendly duel came up.
kd2'd him on the first hit and mind blowed him till incapped.
He never really got up. He centered right before starting the duel.
He was totally surprised, said dizzy had never stuck on him before.

After seeing all the posts over the past few days about
uber master swordsmen, I'm wondering if I was I just lucky?

As far as I have read here on the board its the fencers who are the most uber when you talk about CoB. I haven't tried it yet as I am still grinding towards master.

Fencers and Swordsman are not the same. Why do you use KD in a duel? Most melee duels don't last that long. The one clicking on Duel last always wins without making rules. Try dueling him with no KD, Dizzy or Lunge. (Maybe no Warcry either)

Well you would be incorrect in this case. He clicked on duel last and I still won.
No rules were made so it was open season.

i'm sorry, but why would you do that?

unless it's a stated rule of the duel, why wouldn't you use your abilities?

So this was his first attempt at PvP?

I think part of it may have been a lucky hit. There's nothing wrong with our class, but KD2 rarely sticks both KD and dizzy in my experience. I nearly always get a resist on one, and often both effects.

Nicely done though.

No, said he'd dueled plenty before. Of course he said he thought I was a pistoleer and was expecting fan shot...

I always lead with a warcry? Then have time to get a few KD/Dizzys in... at least it seems this way. Why don't others do this? Seems to make duels easy.

I walk the path of the Jedi, the path of many professions (tm). It is not what I know that makes me who I am, it is what I have forgotten... and I've forgotten more than most.

TKs have dizzy+kd in one special...thats exceptionaly leathal. Play a class that does not have this, and you quickly understand how powerfull it is.

yes we can still KD fencers with insane amount of dodge and CoB up, but our chances are low, it does not suprise me that you can kill anyone in 5 seconds, because ive killed every class in the game (combat professions) in that amount of time, but there is many many more times were KD simply did not work at all, and i in some cases lost.

its just the cards we are delt man, it happens, TKAs are 30 second warriors.

if you can survive the initial storm of the TK you have a shot, the battles we fight are quickly decided one way or another.

Shing is correct in one thing Swordsman are overly weak next to us. I recently fought a Master and wasted him easy.

Rules where no armor no kd dizzy or war cry. No I was not buffed either.

First fight I just hit random combos. He tried his hardest mind attack twice and only succeded in giving me some really nice wounds along with a bleed wich was useless. By the time the bleed did any good he was already out of it.

Second fight. He bleed me again but this time I just used my head hit only and tk'ed him in seconds with it. Same rules aplied just to see what class was better and stronger.

I still think swordsman looks like fun even though they are way weaker next to us.

My friend is going Master fencer so I will be trying him next. So far from what I have seen they are stronger than swordsman however I do not think they are tuff enough to take the beating a TKM can dish out.

Have not had a chance to fight a Pikeman yet although I am interested in trying.

the swordsman you fought must have had a gimped sword because they can easily out damage you and not to mention they have their own mind strikes that are more lethal than ours.. this person was not a master you fought im sorry to say.. with no posture changes or dizzy effects you would have been eating the floor vs a good master swordsman with a good blade

how do i know this?

because im both now
