You loot what i believe is called a vibro motor from droideka's. I bought one off a vendor a while back and got a beautiful 30% slice to make mine 208 dmg. Unfortunetly it just officially wore out last night but I also just made master last night so I'm not quite as dissapointed.

Btw, who dropped the carbine and what type of missions did you take? Did it take awhile to get it?

Hmm, might not have been completely clear, but the vibro motors are used in the crafting of the VK's by a weaponsmith to make the real good vk's.

Servo motors, do nym missions. (kill num's people). The beter the servo the better the chance of a good vk.

I had a + 27 servo and gave me good vk's preslice, sliced the and unfortunately got a speed slice. so they are 1.7 and i think 170 or 175 damage. The slice wasnt tha tgreat either.

My other pair is similar but 1.6 speed.

My best ones which ive never used waiting to get master or close to it. When speed is no longer importan, are 2.2 speed 215 max dmg.

Servos used by a master ws in the making of vk's are a must. But of course it all comes down to the damage slice you can get on them.

ah, that's the name, servo motors. Do they drop exclusivley from nym npcs or also from droideka's. I was speaking before based on the info from the WS that I bought the VK's from in the first place. They only had a pre-slice dmg of upper 160's but the slice was great so it worked out well. I guess now that I'm done leveling I can try to track down one of these bad boys for another one.

Try this link out for good loot drop info. The Nym guys drop high velocity feed mechanisms (I looted 3 of these from one Nym gaurd last night they add +20 to damage) Vibro motors and another type of weapon component.

Droideka's on Lok also drop vibro motors. I'd personally goto the caves and hunt Droidekas if you're interested in getting vibro motors, but Nym's guys are easier and much more plentiful near the Stronghold. Best of Luck!

What's the difference between a servo motor and a vibro motor? I have a vibro motor and was wondering if it is for VK or vibro axes or what....

Gamble.. the carbine i mentioned isnt a loot drop.. its a gift from Nym for completing his missions..

seems that there are people talking about them in the SWG Discussion forum and im curious about them.. where can i find one? or does it need to be crafted by a wepsmith? if so, whats needed to craft them so they can reach the 200-250+ max damage range?

i did the Nym missions thinking maybe thats where i can get it but noooo..i got a nym carbine instead although its a really nice looking carbine.. reminds me of m1a4 thompsonsin World War 2 used by Army Rangers.. hehe..

A little more info on the Nym dropped motors.

There are three types that currently drop (that I have run across after a few weeks on Lok that is)

High Frequency Vibro Motor (adds to wound chance, usually by five)

These are the most commonly droped motors.

High Speed Vibro Motor (increases the speed when put in a vibro weapon)

These actually seem to the the rarest of the three

High Power Vibro Motor (adds to max damage, usually by 20)

I am not a weaponsmith, but I know for a fact it only takes one motor to make a VK or a VB. The polearms are a different story, and I don't honestly know how many it takes for these.
