Thread: How happy is everyone with our new Correspondent?

I don't want to be mean or anything, and I'll give anyone a chance, but it appears that our correspondent is not available during the final week before the next publish. This is a crucial time for us. As I see it, we are horribly deficient in defense, especially for our concept, and this is something that needs serious attention and consideration. Combat acuity doesn't work, and will require some very good correspondence work in order to be replaced or fixed in a balanced and TK-concept-friendly manner.

I noticed some jabs at him when he first got here, as he had double-digit total posts, and no posts in the TK community.

I am in no way trying to depose our new correspondent. However, it is the community who should get to decide their level of contentment. We need to be fairly and rigorously represented, as do all professions. I simply want to know everyone's take on this issue.

No flaming.

(How'd I get five-starred with the blatant mistake about the timing of the combat revamp? God, I feel stupid. Nice how jedis get all the attention before the existing combat professions get balanced/fixed...)

well Combat rebalance is probably 2 months away, but I would like him to be MUCH more visual. Even if he has nothing to report he should at least answer or talk about his views when threads about TK come up. Im not saying he has to live on this board, but dont ignore the dang thing. I hope in our next 19 answers he doesnt ask if the meditation animation can be fixed...

Double digit posts? I dont know if posting a few hundred posts should necessarily be a requirement. I have seen a number of people post drivel to get their post count up...

Available during the final week of the combat revamp, well, i dont have the exact date of it either , but I am quite sure *this* isnt the final week.

I had the good fortune of meeting our TK correspondant (I know him as Vlak )at the fanfest and I can assure you he had quite a rapport with the devs there, as well as the other correspondants.

We even had a Tempest Cocktail party with Vlak in another Tempestian's suite and two devs showed up, the level of input Vlak has with these guys is underrated IMO, and we are lucky to have him.

Knowing him both ingame and out and now as my TK correspondant to the devs, I, for one have a lot of faith in him

***I just checked his last couple of posts and noticed this***

Now, he says he is going to be working in Texas till the 25th and has limited posting ability , but I also noticed his last time on was Tuesday, 6/22 at 5:30pm , so we are not alone - if Vlak has to post from a weenie infested internet cafe , trust me, the man will do it!

And I wasnt trying to flame, merely pointing out some things I observed and learned.

Finnean -- good post, I feel reassured. I saw a lot of apprehension when he came in; I just wanted to know if it was warranted. First off, I am in no place to be aware of someone's rapport with the devs, so I'm glad to know he has some. I was not intending to take any position, as I was not well-informed -- so that's exactly what I was looking for.

If it is not the case, I hope heavily for one thing: that he masters TKA, and uses it. In PvE and PvP, in roleplaying and nonRP.

But I am glad to hear that the jabs I saw taken at him were not indicative of his potential or personal quality.

Oh, and I meant no flaming him, not me -- I can take it
