Thread: What's the fastest way to get to TKA?

I'm currently working on Unarmed 4, but it's taking forever, I only have 23k/70k needed. What's the best creature to hunt/missions to do with just unarmed 3? Should I get buffed and go to Dantooine or something? That seems way too hard for just having unarmed 3...

To get novice , i suggest you get some good ubese/kinetic composite and head to dant to kill quenkers.

They go down pretty fast with a set of fast knuclers and using berserk.

You can't use knucklers until you get novice though, and I don't have NEAR enough money for armor.

You can use knuckles, you are just not certified in them. You will not get the damage bonus but you will get the speed bonus. Find a set with 1.6-1.8 speed and use them. I ran sevvort missions out for Anchorhead till I reached unarmed IV and had almost enough credits to get a good set of armor after that.

You want VKs with a low speed so that you can hit faster even if you are not certified.

Thank you guys sooooo much. With a 2.2 speed VK and about 1k XP to my name of novice TKA, I finished Novice TKA in a single set of buffs doing berserk and huurton howlers with 4 minutes to spare.

Did you have any armor? And where do you find huurton howlers?

I was in full composite, short a left bicep who's condition was 1. Ubese would have worked fine, or possibly better. The huurton howlers are on Dantooine. Takes a little while to kill each one with Berserk1, but don't chase them when they run, just go to the next one. The wounded dog will hobble back to its death eventually. I probably could have done it faster if I was actually racing. I ran to most of my missions instead of riding. I didn't strart getting serious about it until I saw I had 50 minutes left on my buffs. Berserk wears off about every 20 seconds. I set up a macro to start it every 5 in the event I was too calm and it failed.

I did full buffs and brandy with no armor killing shapauts and kaadu on Naboo till unarmed 4. Then moved to Tat for bantha missions. Once I hit novice, I went to Dant for hurrton huntress missions. Total time was about 4 days 6 hours or so a day. Made master pretty fast but had already had 300k combat xp from my previous profession so that helped a lot, and the fact that I was a master doc helped a bit too. Just make sure you group while hunting.
