Hi, I due to take the Village exit quest in 3 weeks time, I've never really understood how to use my TKM skills to their best. Does anyone know of a good macro, or what i need to use when fighting Mell. Some have said not to have armour, other say to use warcry/intimidate on him. basically I just want to stand a chance on defeating with a group. (also what food/drink are best to use) Thanks in advance

There's no point in using armor against Mel, because he is using a lightsaber. But armor will be useful against his followers.
For food and drink, you could have 2 brandy's, 2 ahrisa's, plus 1 synthsteak when fighting the big guy himself. Note that 2 brandy's +2 ahrisa's is enough for me when fighting with Ubese, but not when fighting with comp. Or you could get a focus/willpower buff and substitute synthsteak for Ahrisa. Take some Muon with you just in case.
But, as Jaxin said, the critical part is to bring as many friends as possible. With a Jedi knight, it's very easy (I'm not sure you will be able to convince a Padawan of risking 200k xp).If you can't bring a Jedi, try to find at least a doc, a rifleman, a swordsman and a couple more tanks.
And remember that it's your exit quest. You're the only one who has to survive

Get feigh death and get good at using it.
As a TKM you can take out everyone apart from Mellichae, let your friends distract him and pick off his pals one at a time (once you've taken out the crystals).
I did it with 2 friends, 1 rifleman 1 CM, I was feighning death all over the place
Although at one point I was incapped by Mellichae, used force of will and feigned death just in time
I've had a twitch in my left eye ever since

When we helped a guildie with his exit quest we had 2 swordsman, 2 riflemen, a TKM and a smuggler (I think I have remembered that right).
The rifleman took out the crystals whilst the swordsman and TKM took out the additionals.
Then we all went after the big man. Take your armour off when fighting him, it isn't doing you any favours against a lightsaber (although if you have a LS resist PSG, now would be a good time to put it on).
We just kept him intimidated, swapped tanks when we needed to (I *love* taunt) and as we could all hit the same HAM pool (except for the poor old smuggler) then we all went to town on his mind.

I think that was just an error on the tantel stats display and that it doesn't really have LS resist. As far as I am aware only PSG has actual LS resists.
If I am wrong then I am surprised I don't see more BH in tantel.

I've done this mission quite a few times now so I thought I'd throw in how I generaly ask it to be done by my group.
Make sure you have buffs & some light comp, you only need very light stuff just to take the edge off any Blaster fire that might hit you but light enough to keep you're regen quite high, idealy you needa secondTKM's & a dedicated healer with you as well are 3/4 damage dealers, normaly I've done it with a swordsman or two& a Riffleman / CH with a very nice BE Pet.
The two TK's are best just pulling Mell out a bit & just tanking him with the healer keeping you all healed, the second TK is there to share the agro if you start to take too much mind damage.Key things to do are too drop a quite a few intims on him, you might want to take Synthsteak just incase you do start taking too much but personly I went for 2 brandies 1 synth & some Vercupti just incase I needed it, don't bother with Ahrisa simply as the damage output you have it low so theres little point in spaming specials, just keep intims, taunts & auto-attacks.
In our group the Pet is normaly set on the other Named NPC (I forget the name at the moment) & she normaly tanks him fine. You might prefer to have another person on him insted though. The damage dealers just go stright for the crystals & take them out one by one, then clear the other NPCs. Once everything else is dead all focus on Mel. & you're done. This method is simple enough & has worked first time for around 6 differnt times with one exeption that on the second one we did the person we were doing it for was a little to hasty to get it done & went for Mell insted & was promtly killed, he listened the second time though & it worked.
As far as LS Resists go nothing now has LS Resists, PSGs were ment to at one point however this never went in, some PSGs do have them but once you zone then they will normaly shift. I think TH posted that it was a bug for any to have them as well so I assume they decided not to give them the resists. Due to this TK is by far the best proffesion for the tanking, so go for both TK's if you can, we have the highest toughness so the damage reduction Mell has againest us is much higher.
Someone else mentioned the Conceal shot method, can I just add that unless you really want to spoil the experience don't do it! It may just be my opinion but that really is the dullest way possible, if you fail the mission due to a smeg up it doesn't matter, it just spawns a few hundrend metres away so it doesn't matter, go for the most intresting route of fighting, the people I know that I have helped do this agree that it makes it feel much more rewarding.
