Thread: Unarmed Toughness- Total Crap?

I just picked up the second level of Balance Conditioning the one that gives +15 to unarmed toughness. I think my UT was +20 or something like that before levelling, so this being a numbers game I figured I would see a significant redunction in the damage I was taking in combat. This is however not the case, maybe I'm missing something but I didn't see any noticable different in the damage that I'm taking even from lower level mobs. Has anyone else experienced this? I was hoping this would help me be armor free and be a real tank but it seems I was mistaken.

I need to test this as well. I'd recommend getting a pair of identitical damage cdef pistols and trading shots with a non-combat buddy in a duel. after the end, look at the log and calculate the average damage per shot.

I'm curious about this one too.

That shouldn't work seeing as how the description for unarmed toughness indicated that it allows us to shrug off melee damage... not ranged damage. At least that's the impression I got after I read it.

Hmm. Actually I think we're both a bit off. Unarmed toughness should protect you from all damage, as long as you're unarmed.

So you'd have to get 2 of your buddies together, and have one of them shoot both you and one of your non-combat buddies with that CDEF pistol long enough to get a statistically valid average for damage per shot.

Then you could compare damage taken with your buddy, and perhaps buy him a jawa beer since you had him shot so many times

Pikeman get +4 toughness.Twice. For a total of 8 compared to TKA's 20. You get +30 to melee and ranged defense whereas we get 15 to each. Boo-Frickedy-hoo.

And block dosen't work, so that is no excuse either. Although Idealy it might balace. IT as of now, does not.
