Thread: Rebels complaining about PvP unbalance & AT-STs
I figured these topics are good springboardsto explain to others about howTKAs fare in PvP. Here was one of my responses:
"As I said in another thread, welcome to the world of SWG's unbalanced PvP combat system where a brawling profession stands as much of a chance of beating a KiTing marksman profession as a lone Rebel beating an AT-ST.
Since no one has sympathy for the four brawling professions (who are nothing but cannon fodder in PvP combat at the hand of all marksmen), I have no sympathy for Rebels being at a disadvantage when it come AT-ST.
Raph Koster recently told all brawlers that they have no chance against a range attacker, and not to bring a knife to a gunfight. Well, I offer all Rebels the same kind of advice... Don't bring a gun to an AT-ST fight.
Unfair? Yes, but SWG's PvP combat system is not about fairness. How does it feel to be a Teras Kasi Artist in PvP?"
Obviously, I disagree with the TKAs who say that we have to use strategy to win in PvP. I've done my fair share of PvP as a TKA, and a KiTing marksman will always win. If you find a marksman who is foolish enough to follow you in a building (which seldom happens), hope he isn't a pistoleer or you will be pistol-whipped to death.
