EQ was a timesink. In Planes of Power they took large measures to eliminate those. Let's see, Book portals to get virtually anywhere in the game. Bastion of Thunder tower named were made to spawn every 8 hours and they changed them to guaranteed drop loot every time.

Everquest was such a different game it's not really a valid comparison imho. It should be renamed "Itemquest" since most of the game revolved around upgrading yourself through items, twinking new chars with items, etc.

They really need to rework their con system in this game. I thought this game was supposed to be based on continuity. I hate the fact that a npc can have 10x my health just to make it "balanced". Why don't game designers take a more realistic approach? If you want to make groups mandatory in some areas, simply make areas that have lots of npc's that can't be single pulled. Why must they take the Everquest approach and simply beef up HAM and armor ratings through the roof?

I'm a Teras Kasi Master. I SHOULD be able to kill a single "Singing Mountain Death Clan Initiate". They're nothing but a scrub in their order while I am a Master of one of the most powerful arts in the galaxy.

It all goes back to the absolutely stupid, rediculous, and nonsensical fact that as you progress through your proffession(s) you gain absolutelynothing in the way of HAM. This game is star wars, and why the devs chose to go a completely alternative and alienroute in making this rpg (yes a an RPG where armor and weapons make your character worse off???) in terms of advancement boggles my mind.

Knockdown is still overpowered. It's overpowered for all professions. This game still hardly provides any challenge except for time requirements. Death is hardly even an obstacle. Just because combat is more difficult now, doesn't mean it's a bad thing.. It was FAR too easy before, and the HAM requirements for knockdown aren't even that bad now if you have good stat placement, and eat a little food. Christ, I still solo'd reds most of the way to TKA Master... I bought maybe 3 vibro knucklers... What's the point of a multiplayer game if I can just hunt alone forever? Knocking a creature down and then hitting it 15 times while it doesn't know what to do is far from underpowered. Sure the 640 HAM cost while armed is a little much, but all you have to do is put your knuckler away.

If you don't like your profession, there are 31 more to choose from. If you don't like this game, stop playing. It's not that hard... hmm and Meditate makes it all worth while anyhow....

The ease of the game is what is fun. When it gets super difficult and lots of time sinks are added (and btw they are adding those) all the fun will be gone. Just wait till they bring back corpse runs and increase mind costs. You will fight some one thing that barely gives you exp like your life is on the line, seat down for like 5 minutes in a camp because you just are too drained for the next one. And in a year or two you will get to the level where you want to be.

Yeah that will be fun, sure buddy. I'm a TKA too, so you quit your whining and consider points of others instead of being a rude POS telling everyone to shut up.

So what's your point? If you can still solo post-nerf, then obviously the HAM costs were pointless huh? Guess you still don't have to group huh? Hey maybe they should up the HAM cost to 1000 rather than make a well-balanced skill.

Until you play Everquest, you have no idea what a time sink is. Nothing in this game comes even remotely close to 18 hour camps for items that are not worth the time to get, or the necesity to camp certain content for certain drops (again for 18 hour camps) just to even gain access to certain content (Vex Thal Key comes to mind). You're way off base if you think that there is anything like that in this game.
