SOLO means No pets (besides one to make xp better (left in town))

What would this person be able to hunt? SOLO!! (do i have to state this again?)

I'm on Tatooine, so the stuff I mention (of course) applies to that planet. There are bound to be similarities on Corellia, Naboo, etc, but I don't know them. Sorry.

Without armor: scyks, swarming lesser dewbacks, and giant womp rats (con red, but not too bad as long as you can isolate one). Cu pas and zucca boars are useful if you find a bunch of them, but not worth detouring for two or three.

With ubese armor: Anything. Well, anything that doesn't have a gun. Cannibal dewbacks, bull ronto, groups of giant womp rats, you name it. You're not invincible, but you can put up a lot more of a fight.

now someone before suggested TorTons (tortors?) something on Rori. are those soloable?

I went buffed in full comp when I was just novice, and they fell like grass. I am going back today when the server goes back up, so i will let you know. I soloed a Rogue Fambaa today, 26% comp armor chest plate, 40% comp armor gloves and boots, no other armor, 1 Tatooine Sunburn. I owned the crap out of him.

i am a solo player 99.99% of the time. if you want to solo, shallowminded made some great suggestions.

i would also suggest that if you are going to solo you start leveling in meditation. as a solo player you will have no one to heal your bleeding, disease or poison. Meditation will cure all of these things. also, if you dont want to go get buffed every time you plan on hunting (i sure dont like running around spamming the airwaves with "ANY MASTER DOCTORS BUFFING?") then you are going to need Powerboost available at Meditation II.

DOTs (Damage Over Time attacks like bleeds) are helpful to TKA as we have no DOTs of our own, but if you play a tacitcal fight using the tools that come with brawler and TKA, you should be able to get by without one.

things you might try:

Knock Down / Dizzy - with NPCs works great 98% of the time they just keep falling back down to the ground

Knock Down / Warcry / Dizzy - after the Mob has fallen down Warcry will keep them there for a 10 second delay, then when they try to get up there is the chance of them falling back down

Stun / Intimidate - ANY mob that is both stunned AND intimidated will have a heck of a time hitting you

the tools are there, and there are many out there who use them effectively. i am just learning the profession myself, but if you poke around the boards, you will find some really great tactical minds here

I have a great set of 69% base comp armorand I can solo ravenous tortons fairly easily with buffs, without buffs I can do regular tortons without too much trouble.

Tortons on Rori or Tortors on Talus. But my favorite was quenkers on Dantooine. Very good xps and not hard to solo if you are buffed and have some decent kinetic resist armor. DO NOT take savage quenkers unless you have advanced meditaive skills to enable you to get rid of poison since they do poison.

Best missions I have found without using buffs are quenkers on dantooine. It's good to have some good Ubese or Comp armor but they give great xp with minimal risk. I say give each a shot till you find what is comfortable for you, otherwise just keep hitting quenkers then at power 4, I'd take the savage quenkers. I never used PB or buffs doing it that way.
