1. Like the title says, does having +Dodge help me dodge when using VKs? I read somewhere that certain 'mitigation' skills (not sure what the proper phrase is) i.e. Dodge, Block and Counterattack require you to equip a certain weapon class..

2. Just to confirm, the cap on Melee/Ranged Defense is 125 right?

3. Again just to confirm, this cap can be exceeded with the aid of skill attachments, food etc.?

1) Dodge only works with either one handed weapons(fencers) or while using pistols.
2) Melee/Ranged Defense is capped at 125.
3) With food and armor attatchments I believe this is possible, just the number you get from professions you train in only add up to 125 before the don't stack any more.

TK's have defense acuity Sp ?

I believe we're are supposed to have an equal chance to fire off a defensive move, randomly a dodge/block or counteratttack though in the past few months I can only remember an occassionally counterattacking , never a block nor a dodge ever.

Just inmy observation though.

Maybe thats why the def acuity seems to us,born borked? only 1/3 working ?

I don't normally see defensive moves during combat unless I'm using CoB. Then I see a bunch of them in a row, and then it gradually fades out, until the CoB wears off. When it kicks in again (due to my macro) I start seeing a bunch of defensive moves again. It's almost always dodge though.

This could be cuz I'm a fencer too. But when I have VK's equipped, I still dodge, rather than any other defensive move.
