Thread: Teräs Käsi: Not broken but close...
The Teräs Käsi profession is generally considered quite powerful compared to many of the other combat professions. And I understand why - to a Teräs Käsi master, a Nightsister rancor tamer and her pack of rancors are but a nuisance. In fact, Teräs Käsi masters are able to kill just about anything unless it's immune to kinetic damage. A good set of buffs, a damage sliced vibro knuckler and a 80%+ kinetic armor and you're good to go.
And this is basically wrong!
1) It shouldn't be possible to solo high-end mobs. Especially not when other professions have a hard time dealing with these mobs even if they're in a group of several experienced players.
2) The lack of non-kinetic/DOT weapons makes it virtually impossible to damage, say, Nightsister elders seeing that they have 100% kinetic resistance. In my opinion, everybody should be able to do at least some damage to their enemy if they're prepared.
Let's not deny it. Teräs Käsi masters are overpowered in PvM and should be nerfed. Decrease attack speed, decrease defensive capabilities... do something, anything!
Now, let's talk PvP. This is where the almighty gods of war become very mortal. In fact, they're absolutely terrible at it. They deal very little damage despite their incredible attack speed unless, of course, the enemy is wearing no armor. And the difficulties of landing a succesful knockdown doesn't make it any easier.
3) The Teräs Käsi players desperately need a new type of attack (stun, heat etc.) unless the 80%+ kinetic armors are made very rare. A DOT weapon would be nice too, but it may not be necessary.
Make them much weaker at PvM, and somewhat stronger at PvP. That's the ticket.

I read this and im not a TK-novice at all
but a important point on becoming a Teräs Käsi i do not understand is this :
You are faster WITH a weapon in your hands (the VK) than without ![]()
Maybe the devs should change here something

I have to disagree with this one. There are only 2 clases that consistanly beat a TKM. Fencer with there resist to KD/Dizzy (although food makes KD/Dizzy allmost useless) and BH with there eye shot. Other then that we canbeat any other class more then we loose. Even then if you have the correct protection you can get the fencer some of the time. Playing a TKM in the game is not all about speed a power. You also have to be smart when going against the clases that use kyting and ranged attacks. If all you do is run after them you will loose more then you win.

This I agree with 100% and it needs to be available to us to get. Making the componets drop on a NPC that we can't even scratch is wrong. Make them drop on a NPC we can atleast have a chance at fighting. Or just make them a Master WS item. But I don't think we should get a stun weapon at all. That would make us very overpowered in PVP.

There are many ways of being powerful!
Some proffesions have strong defenses, and some have almighty area attacks..
Seriously - In some ways, a Master Swordsmans Power hammer, can do 10 times as much devestation in PVP, as any of the other brawler classes.. But this is because they don't have much defense..
TKA being limited to kintic and heat, is then our weakness..

First of all lets leave the Teras Kasi speed as is. Thats what a martial artist is all about agility and quick attacks but...
We could lose some of our high damage and it wont be the end of the world. I agree. Take down our damage and then we should SHOULD be find
