What type of bonuses should we have as Teras Kasi in space? From what I understand your profession (every profession?) will be linked to special skills in space. What about us melee combatants? I feel like we should have some sort of focus bonus that will raise our to-hit ratio but does that make sense? I want to enjoy the space expantion as much as anyone, but what benefit will I have as a MTKA? or will there be a complete new skill tree you have to master? That would make sense but they would have to allot us more skill points cause' I ain't droppin' TKA or CH. I love my play style right now, but will it handycap me up in the stars?

I'm personally hoping for boarding party action when multiperson ships get in to fights.


Destroy or capture the enemy ship. Capture should require special professions, Pilot, smuggler, DE? Who knows. Anyway the entire crew gets a BIG bonus for capturing a ship.

It would give TKAs a purpose in space other than travel but I doubt we would see a boarding party scenario. I can't even imagine the code that would be needed to implement that style of instanced combat.

We are tkms. I would think it would have something to do with faster reflects and better handling or meditive state so we can make sharper turns that would be cool and as a commando I should be able to turn fast and set your ship on fire!

Wow! If that's not part of the plot, it should be. What an awesome idea. Close quarters fighting is the domain of the melee professions and it would actually justify investing all that time building up a character other than a pilot.

Actually, I have heard that space fighting and such is supposed to be a skill that the actual player becomes better at with more experience, so i would not be surprised if they did not give most proffs any bonuses... just word on the street

We'll have the ability to ram our opponents ship and effectively KD/dizzy them. Then they'll cry "NERF!" and add a Defense vs Ramming skill mod to everyone else but us.

We'll be able to raise our spaceship's HAM by powerboosting, and by using force of will... we will be able to reassemble our just-exploded spaceship and continue fighting. Yes, TKA's will be very powerful indeed.

Create 1 instanced dungeon for each Multiperson ship type, PVP combat you have starting points defined and both sides arrive at near the same time. PVE combat, the boarding party starts at thier normal position and a randomly generated "crew" appears through out the ship.


Yes it would not be as easy as I make it sound, and if they haven't started implementing it, it is probably too late in the dev cycle to get it in. There are the implications of Do the ships continue to exist in "SPACE"? (They should) What happenes when another ship attacks them? Should the damage penetrate inside? What if the attackin ship is destroyed? What if the defending ship is destroyed?


Lots of questions that I can't provide answers for (At least not without a salary).

I don't see combat being much different then it already is on the Corvette. Why would they give us bonuses when there is going to be new professions for space. I wouldn't be suprised if we get less stuff for being in space. Unlike most of the ranged professions, we rely on gravity. People can't even burst run on the Corvette because of the low gravity.
