Armored? buffed? what are the other conditions?
if the rifleman has mind buffs/food, he tka isa goner unless he's in an enclosed area, or around a house he can cut corners to get the rifleman in range.. and thats assuming your fighting a newb rifeman that will chase you close around the corner. and most know to stay well outta the 16/25m lunge1/2 range

dude understand that a tka with NO defense at all could still own a rifleman if he's a retard and does't know which attacks to do, same goes other way around

I'm a Master Rifleman, about to be a TKM in a few hours. I've been in a similair situation. I was overt without buffs or armor and the TKM was totally buffed and armored. I got a few shots in before he closed in on me and kd/dizzied me. I managed to get back up soon enough and finish him off. This is without the +120 kd defense that you are talking about if this answers your question. On the same note, I've also had had times where I couldn't get back up in time. Seeing as how I almost never buff or armor, most of my fights on last a few seconds whether I come out on top or not.
