Thread: TKM DOC AND ???? What should I use my SP on?

I am a TKM and a doc 0440 (was master doc but I hate crafting) anyway I got several points to spare. I was thinking of goign up sword or pike defense tree so I can defend better and use an alternate type of damage. What is your advice?

im going to have a few points left over myself, with TKM/master carbs/ i will have 27 points left...SOOOO...im going to go up one handed brawler, then fencer 1000 for the range/melee defence. This still leaves me with 2 points left...


two factors...


1. you getthe ranged/melee defences regardless of what weapon you are holding. i will be doing most of my damage with TK skills, so i don't want to have to use a fencer weapon to get the other "defence vs." skills, since they would beuseless unless im holding a stun baton or whathaveyou. (assuming i am correct, and these "defence vs. X" skills work the same way as dodge, block and counterattack. if im WRONG, then i will be going up to fencer 0400....can anyone confirm this?)


2. once thefabled combat balance goes through, you wont need to have novice medic anymore, with the way the new ham system will work. This frees up another 15 points for everyone,which im going to use to get up to 4000 fencer. (or 0400 fencer, if the defences actually DO work without holding a fencer weapon)


again, im not totally clear on the "defence vs. X" skills working while holding a weapon not of that profession....anyone?

Yea i have a similar question to yours, after tkm where next? also do you get dodge, counterattack, or block bounus when unarmed?

for my TKM/doc, before i got an alt with survey 4, i used to switch the leftover points into artisan when i needed to survey, and then back to scout 1000 most of the time so that i could harvest and not be superslow on hills. doing this doesn't give you any added defense, but it makes it much easier to make your own buffs.

Yeah, scout would be first on my recommendation list, and just master doc, with a good macro it only takes about 10-15hrs to get done with crafting.


Not only does acout make it much easier to get the good components for crafting buffs, it provides a decent source of income, if you ever need it, AND it gives terrain negotiation.


I'd almost give up master pistols and some pistoleer, if I didn'tneedranged mitigation and a ranged KD in PvP, for novice scout, it's incedibly usefull.
