Thread: Old Teras Kasi Master Should I come back?

Hey,


I had a TKM back last year over the summer I believe (cant even remember, thats how long it's been) on starsider named Obyo. I have a choice to make between reactivating my level 65 everquest enchanter, or my TKM in swg. Should I bother coming back to SWG? I left the game just as the knockdown nerf it, when it used to cost like 1/3 a HAM bar just to use it.


Im a wookie teras kasi master, and was wondering your opinion. Is now a good time to come back to the game? Is there anything I can do as a solo TKM that would be fun? Or would it be a waste of my money?

Well I don't think anyone here could give you that decision, i enjoy TKM very much and depending on your outlook on the profession its very good. As Far as i know it doesn't take 1/3 of your HAM bar to do KD anymore, I'm a Twi'lek may be diffrent from a Wookie, there is also a better prospect because of the fact that Wookies have armor now. So your not totally in the dark and take more things now without worrying about dying and things of that sort. I would say come back to this game, i've heard things of EQ (never played it myself) but SWG offers a more well rounded system than EQ or so i've heard.

What is the death penalty now? My favourite thing about this game was being able to run into a big field of kimogilas, die, and just meditate for a few seconds to get all my wounds back. is there any bigger penalty for death now such as exp loss or corpse recovery?

Theres Item Decay now, you can insure items to slow down the Item decay but that doesn't help much cause they still get hurt, you still get the wounds and 100 BF per death unless you clone. Its not like before.

Hi


I think the death decay is 10% if items not insured and 5% if items insured


as for should you come back think it would be best if you did and make you own decission if you stay or leave

The best answer you could find is to read some of the posts in this forum--I've never seen a TK post that they hated their prof or regretted that godawful amount of unarmed xp to go up to TK novice (at least after they reached novice they didn't care, because at that point it was all worthwhile).


In fact, I'd say this is probably the happiest or one of the happiest profs in the game. There's also a great deal that's changed since you've played--for the better. Hell, it's only 15 bucks to give it a shot fora month. I'm sure you'll know by the end of that time--just wait till you get your set of doc buffs and load up on some brandy and some good armor.
