I don't know about the rest of you but everytime I fight Big HAM creatures I tend to wear my 80% kinetic 62% base composite. Now i would love to role play TKM but composite armor seems ackward to look at on a melee fighter.

What would everybody think if they add a new TKM only armor, much in the same way that they have added BH armor for BH, Commando andSquad Leaders.

This armor should look like any regular clothing! I don't really care about the RIS armor since it looks ugly to look at!

When I do wear armor in PvE, I wear Ubese. my current set is 72 to 73% kinetic resists and around 250/250/250 for encumbrance. Admitedly, Ubese does not offer a lot of protection outside of Kinetic, but for PvE play, kinetic is mostly all you are concerned about. Ubese is also the most "clothing" looking of all the armor so it works pretty nice =)

For high level content or PvP play though, the way the game is right now, you are going to want Composite, RIS, or a really nice looted set of Bounty Hunter Armor(I can't see many people using this regularly though as its a Mandalorian armor component and it just takes forever to loot good pieces). Nothing else will give you the protection you need to survive.

There are 3 armors, in my opinion, that would be best for TKAs:

Ubese: perfect for PvE except against the highest end content or powerful ranged attackers(read the Corvette, Lord Nyax, etc). Probably the armor you'll wear most often and it does look like clothing so it fits a bit better with the TKA "look".

Composite: A must for high end PvE and in PvP.

Bone armor: Perfect for most npcs(ie great for faction missions and the like) since it is basically just energy resists. Plus, since the encumbrance is so low, you can wear this without even really needing buffs. This is perfect for PvE npc missions since it makes up for our weakness to ranged attacks.

Really, those 3 are going to be the most useful to you with the top two being the most useful of all.

Oh, and you can solo Kimos and the like just fine with a really good set of Ubese(although the Jacket might wear out after a couple of them). Its only for Krayts where I would consider Composite an absolute must(creature wise) if you even try to solo them since every bit of protection will help and you'll really need the high durability because the fight is going to last awhile O.o

Padded and Chitin can be between 60-75to Kin Resistbased on the maker.
At least thats what armorsmiths are telling me. I Saw screenshots of 80%kinetic padded as well. And padded looks kinda cool IMHO.

If I can I will use Ubese. I have actually been able to solo a Krayt using a set of 74% kinetic Ubese. The armor goes down really quickly though, so be prepared to repair it and buy new jackets.

I too have to go w/ the ubese for PvE, looks great, and lightweight too. The jackets do take the brunt of the abuse though so keep an eye on its condition more often than the rest.

The gloves are the best part IMHO TKA wise, the spiked knuckles are a nice touch
