Thread: Meditate IV Question

I am wondering about the effectivness of getting Meditate IV, if I will NOT be mastering TKA. Let me give you some info on my template/playstyle.

I am currently Master Swords / Master Fencer / Master Brawler / TKA 0003 / Medic 2030

Im considering dropping to novice medic and taking up TKA 4003

I fight mostly Nightsisters, and Nightsister Elders, Krayts, Acklay, geno caves ... mostly high end stuff. When im fighting nightsister elders (solo) it takes a long time. I wanted to get meditate IV for wound healing (to help with giant dune kimos)and powerboost. I figure at 4003 tka I will powerboost for around 8-10 minutes or so. This is not enough time to get a Nightsister elder done solo for me. Honestly the only boost that matters to me is the mind boost, Im always buffed fully when fighting this stuff anyway. I do sometimes PvP, and do have fun dueling, but PvP is NOT my main concern.

Here is the question ....

1) if i do a warcy II (20 second delday) on the elder, can i meditate (even though still in combat) and reaply powerboost mid combat?

2) how often when you need to meditate can you (ie: state effects not stopping you)

3) is FoW worth considering for the skill

  1. No. You have to be disengaged from combat to meditate.

  2. Blind, stun, etc. prevent you from meditating, and the higher the skill the longer it lasts. I think at med 2, I had 8 minute pb's, and at master I'm hitting 12 minutes.

  3. No. LOL I forget I have it half the time.

Really, the only difference between med 4 and master is that your wounds heal faster when meditating.

1. You must must be at peace before you can meditate.. ohm.. ohm..

2. Poison, bleedingand disease won't stop you from meditating, but pretty much anything else will.

3. I have to disagree with Ackis on this one, I love FoW myself, it's saved my behind many times after being caught off-guard.

Yeah, all the guys who are happy with everything are playing the game
They aren't spending their time sending you guys letters or posting

The main problem is that I forget I have it.

You can only use it once an hour and with how DB's go in this game it's difficult to use.

Force of will is absolutely golden. I dabble pretty deeply into tka (4/3/0/1) for med, CE, and some def, but i use force of will daily.

Nothing like getting incapped in pvp, then jumping right back up and killing the guy that got you.

I have it bound to the enter key on my numpad so hammer it the second i get incapped.

(On the flip side of that, all my melee attacks hotkeys on my bar are all macros. each one contains the attack, and a /deathblow after it. NOBODY force of wills on me )
