Thread: TK player POI and quest
has anyone done this or have experience of this, i have joined TKO (teras kasi order) to implement this as it seems that there is little content (read: none) for TK's in the game and i think it will be fun as the EU has a little history already established in favour of TK.
what i propose to do is make a TK monestry as a POI kitted out with rare loot and painstaiking interior design (the hall is already set) of sorts on tatooine. What will initially drive the player toward the monestry will be pointers in player cities (after i have spoken to one or two mayors) that lead the player in riddles to the location of the monestry. Once there i hope to set up a vendor(s) of some sort that give you hints tips and riddles to the path of TK elightenment. eg: the best way to gain xp for TK or other melee arts and maybe something on the vendors that will help you along the way (need to think about this as some could exploit the items as i wouldnt be pricing for profit but just for the quest.
this would then send them to various other places in the galaxy to continue the quest much like a themepark and interacting with members of TKO who would act like NPC's giving rewards etc for their advancment in their TK or melee profession with possible acceptance into the TKO (not neccersary, but hey if your intersted in the TK profession it would be a bonus reward ) once their quest is complete.
i'm not to sure if a badge could be administered by CSR's for this as i know they give badges for interesting bio's
i think this is an interesting concept never the less, if anyone wishes to comment or aid in this little project i would be more than happy to hear your views.

so a jedi's profession is just to swing a lightsaber about is it?
every profession could do with some kind of quest, but that just isnt feasible unless you leave it down to player initiative, which in some terms becomes part of in game entertainment itself, as obviously i don't want to be doing my day job and doing the Dev's job for them whilst i pay, lol.

What we're talking about here is creating a player-run POI which brings some meaning and purpose to being Teras Kasi beyond being a combat profession. Ideally, for me anyway, our experince with the monestary will lead us to making good suggestions to the Devs for elite-elite TK professions such asNinja-type, Jedi hunter/defender and pure TK elite classes, and for in-game development of TK multi-legged missions, quests and storylines. I envision traveling to the Followers of Palawa monestary on Bunduki, running TK-specific missions, gaining TK-specific badges and items, etc.
In my experience it is the very few players who are willing push the envelope beyond what is who are the greatest contributors to the development of the game.
To put it simply, we are developing this TK-centric, player-run POI. As we do, players will be able to participate as mission-runners or mission-givers.
NOw, doesn't that sound fun?
