Thread: WHat skill mods should I be shopping for?

Gave up crfating and respeced so got some noob questions. Im not exactly a utter noob, was a TKM pre CU, but still...
What skill mods should I be looking for as a TKM/Msword/Pike 4340? I fight using my sliced katarn knucklers. I understand unarmed damage is broken? Which mods are working and what do they affect. If there is a faq or sticky that deals with this please point me to it. :-)
Also are the mods granted by BE clothing the same as CA's?

Unarmed damage is only supposed to improve your damage output with your bare hands, so tapes for that won't do you much good if you're going to be using your knuckler. And it is true that skill tapes / BE tissues giving bonus to unarmed damage aren't working (although Rakirrian Burnout sauce is).
Defense bonuses are good to have (melee, ranged, and unarmed), although I'm not sure if the cost is worththe benefit compared to the +500 defense you get from improvedCoB.
Unarmed / melee accuracy mods help your hit / misspercentages, and can give a small boost to damage output (depending on the defense of whatever you're fighting).
Unarmed / melee speed....I dunno. At TKM, you've got +90 speed (65 unarmed, 25 general melee, and can be higher if you pick up more general melee speed from another prof). Based on a speed calculator I found, getting +50 speed mods(+25 unarmed & +25 general melee) would speed you up roughly 7-10%. I'm also not sure if the 1s hard cap is still in place post-CU.

Thanks much. Exactly what I needed. Ill focus on accuracy and speed, but not blow billions in the process (grin).
