More health and better missions are the benefits. You aren't 80 because you don't have enough elite trees to add up to 80. They are worth more than the basic trees. That's just what happens when you start factoring in FS trees.

You need either two elite masteries (TKM/MDoc) or one Mastery (TKM) and five full elite trees (444x Pike and 4xx4 Doc) to hit level 80.

You actually only need 6 full branches to be lvl 80. The main advantage to being lvl 80 is that you recieve more experience when you grind.

Doh i mean 8 full branches and 2-hand weapons will generally do more damage because they have a higher max damage. However the reason swordsman can hit so hard is because of their speicals. Even if you have just normal head hit it hits for more than advanced combo attack and the same as improved body hit in fencer.

Well, that's not entirely true with the level 80. I had a M Fencer, 4444 Doc and she was level 78-79. Those Master boxes really seem to help out in terms of CL. On the specials though, you're spot on, some of the Swordsman specials are downright nasty, you can see a breakdown of all damage multiplies here.
The top ones go:
Improved Power Attack from Swordsman at 1.9x (but with a warmup if I remember right).
Improved Crtical Strike from Swordsman at 1.8x with a chance for a Critical.
Improved Impale from Pikeman at 1.8x.
Improved Head Hit from Swordsman at 1.7x with an accuracy reduction.
Improved Body Hit from Fencer at 1.6x with an accuracy reduction.
Advanced Combo Attack from TK at 1.5x.
Improved Leg Hit from Pikeman at 1.5x with an accuracy reduction.
Swordsman specials hurt bad, combine that with Katarns or a low-SAC Power Hammer... and you're beating the daylights out of something.

not so sure . . . I'm TKM, 2/4/4/4 sword, 0/0/4/0 pike and I'm CL 80 . . . or does the 0/0/4/0 medic do anything?

to hit cl 80 you have to spend s certian amount of various combat related experiance. If I remember correctly it is like 12.2points give or take. The scale for the xp isHealing/Weapon xp = 1 Combat xp = 3points.
