Thread: question about TK dmg output

Okay, I know that in the CU world, melee doesn't do the dmg it once did...which makes sense. I never really understood how one guy could just punch and kick a rancor down to the ground and kill it. But, I presumed that dmg output would still be pretty good. granted I am not a MTK (half way up the master box though), and I only average around 400 dmg though against creatures and NPCs. Is there a time that I will see that dmg output increase or what kind of dmg output can I expect at MTK with the blasterfist I have now (which has about 350 dps.)?

Unequip ur blaster fist I bet you do 200+ more dmg. The blaster fist and vibro knucks are only good to a certain point in TK before the +unarmed damage outdoes it. The only knucklers worth having at Master are Katarns. Also you might want to get Head hit or Critical hit from swords, yull do alot more dmg with those attacks too.

So the +unarmed damage only works when you are not wielding any weapon?

Yep.

Although when grinding, I'll use a melee weapon with a SAC Pup so I don't use my action up as fast.

I always got that confused because VKs, blasterfists, etc. are not classified as on handed, two handed, etc., so I always presumed that they were considered "unarmed" weapons. Huh...learn something new everyday. Thanks.
