Yayy for me!!! I trained TKM last night. But I do have a question for you. Is pike a good complimenrt to TK or should I go with swords. Right now Im 0/2/1/2 pike and I keep reading swords is a better compliment to TK, but I hear pike has its own advantages. Can anyone help a brother out?

Swordsman is a damage dealer. Pikeman is a tank. Swordsman has head hit, critical hit and power attack. Pikeman has warcry, intimidate and 2 aoe's. I prefer swordsman, but I also love pikeman. It is all on you and your playing style.

hmmmm...tough call there. Does a master pike have better defenses? Several times I got jumped by Jedi and was slaughtered (of course I was a CL 55 at the time, now Im 61.....good going uber l33t Jedi, pick on the weaker guys and not the CL 80s). I plan to do a lot of PVP (especially if I get into a Imp guild).

Whats the best TK weapon you can buy? I know katarn knucklers are loot, but Im solo right now and it will be hard for me to get them.

swords has armor break which is very helpful

Pikes do have better defenses then swordsman but they can not compete with jedi simply because they can not deal enough damage to them.

That is one strategy. The other is that once a Jedi is out of force it's over. I have seen plenty of tkm/pikes run a table with good Jedi. The pike may not do as much damage, but neither will a jedi that is working off warcry, intimidate, and stun.

Pikeman do enough damage to be noticed. Even TK with a Katarn do enough damage to be noticed. I have seen this in action vs Jedi. Even fought one (and this is not a brag, I don't completely care for PVE) to a draw as a tk/doc with no extra boxes. Swords mass the damage for sure, but they are not the only viable temp. I simply wanted mentioned that slowing them down can be as effective as armor breaking and piling it on.

The thing is the though that the jedi do run out of force but if you can not deal damage to them, they can just channel and regen it while you are fighting. And if the jedi cant deal damage to the pikeman, then you are left at a draw until one of them misses a heal, get a KD recover bug, or messes up.
