Thread: Master Brawler+TKM any good?
Sup-
I am pretty new to this game(been playing just over a month) and a new tka. I just mastered the brawler profession today because that was the profession my first holo told me to master. Now with master brawler I see that I get warcry2, intimidate2, and lunge for all the different brawler classes. I haven't been able to test out all of these yet but would it be worth it to keep master brawler with (eventually) tkm?
Is master brawler/TKM a good combo? I hear yes from some and no from others(these people say doc is better). I really want to be able to hold my own in pvp, especially raids and not be eating pavement 24/7. Also I kinda would like to be able to handle myself when I get a couple tkms on me. For instance, I was raiding bestine with some people today and everytime I attacked one of the enemy tkms I would get gangbanged by at least 2 or 3 tkms. Now I can understand that I was outnumbered but I would like to not be so easily taken down when I get gangbanged. I usually start out my attack with kd, is this the best first move to use? I usually get it off but when I go to dizzy or use another move I am already knocked down by someone else.
So, what I am asking is should I keep master brawler? i wasn't planning to but I don't know now. Also should I start out with like warcry2 or something? I wouldnt mind be one of those people I see virtually raiding by themselfs and taking down several people....
Yes, Master Brawler is worth keeping around awhile. Not only will it improve your game, but it will also assist your climb to TKM.
In duels or PvP I always get tells complaining abount Warcry II and UA Lunge II (although dizzy doesn't seem to be working right now). In PvE they are gold as well, especially Intimidate II.
Master Brawler is expensive XP wise, but well worth having at least until you become TKM.
Ok, I was trying out some of the new moves that come with master brawleragainst aTKM guildmateand I couldn't seem to get them to work right. Warcry2 either didn't off in time or even at all. Most of the time my guildmate used knockdown2 on me before warcry2 could even go off(**edit** trandoshan's and their speed boost), but even when I had him just stand there it still didn't work.
As for lunge2, I love this move! Many times I would be dueling someone who used ranged weapons instead of melee and they woud start running from me. I would just hit lunge2 without even burst running and before they knew what him them, I was on top of them beating the crap outa them. The only thing with this move that didn't seem right to me was the supposed 20m range you guys keep telling me it has. I stood very far away from my guildmate and while lunge2 did work on him, so did knockdown1. I thenmoved farther away but then neither knockdown1 or lunge2 worked. Also from the same range that it did work on, my guildmate was able to use knockdown2 on me. Shouldn't I be able to hit from a farther range then he can hit me?
As for intimidate2 I forgot to test this one out yet but I will. Also, if there is anyone reading this who plays on the Kettemoor server and is experienced in these moves, would you mind meeting me ingame to help me?
All help is appreciated-
P.S. My newest holocron told me to master commando -_- so I will be dropping master brawler soon unfortunately.
get a warcry enhanced bandolier also. That brings you up to the cap of +25. It, like the shirt can also be worn with armor.
To answer the original question.
Yes master brawler is very nice. I have it but I'm going to surrender it to create my final template and I'm DREADING it.
Put it this way as a Current Tka 2/1/1/2 and a Swordsman 0/4/2/3 with master Brawler I have not lost a single duel to a TeraKasi Master or a Fencer/Pistoler Template.
