Sometimes you just can't find a doctor when you need one. What's your recourse? Nothing compares to some nice long-term buffs, but for a short boost, what spices do you use? What food or drinks do you use?

i hardly ever use doc buffs. although its easier for me to fight high end critters due to me being a CH. any time a critter aggros me, i intimidate it, knock it down, warcry and kick the hell out of it. lol most critters dont last long enough to be a problem

If no docs are around...

I take a couple missions from Coronet South or SE from the Starport, either Savage Humbaba or War Gronda's. Payout is near 5.6k i think. (not the best but it breaks up things until I find a Doc again hehe)

Now the kicker is that I use a drink called "Fishak". I will swear by this stuff. It can give 580+ to Mind and only a small reduction -10 or so to one of the action stats. The batch Ibought lasted 780 seconds per drink. Itis all dependant on finding a decent Chef.Hell most days I cant find any Chefs

I drank the Fishak, meditate, Powerboost, then voila, an even better powerboost with "NO DOWNER".

I just wish there were more Chefs around to make this stuff. I gave some to a doc friend of mine while he was buffing me, and he freaked out, and pleaded for the waypoint to the Chef's Vendor .

Now this by no means makes us nowhere as deadly in PVE as true Doc buffs. I as a Mortal without Doc buffs have to take breaks and regen health etc normally hehe.

I think I am, potentially, the most leathal killer in the game.

Self buff for about 2K to my stats, Stim E's to heal anything.All state stims to reverse any debuffing. Health wound pack D to one shot heal all flamethrower wounds.

Any player that tries to kite me get poisoned and diseased.

Though I am not a Master TKA any longer I can still hit for 2-2.5K with Unarmedhit2. Besides, in close combat he who KD/Dizzy first wins.

Food and Drink buffs by Liv and Spice by Lain' to ratchet my mind pool up to 4K.
