I love TK with all the bonuses you get, but I nowtice I take a lot more damage as tk over fencer or sword. I have all 3 mastered and switch back and forth depending on what I am doing, but when grinding money out on missions I stay fencer 99% of the time because tk seems to take a lot more damage.
My question is why does tk take such a beating when they are suposed to have the highest acuity and toughness?

It's because defensive acuity isn't as good as dodge for example. We take more hits, but since we have the higher toughness it usually comes pretty close to balancing out.
When I use the fencer part of my template (only 4440) I get hit a LOT less than I do with a vk equipped. I also get hit for a lot LESS, but I don't have all of the toughness a master fencer would have either. Lets just say when I fight enraged rancors buffed and armored, my ham doesn't budge when I have a VK, even if i have 7 of them surrounding me. If I were to try that with my gaffi or stun baton, I would probably still survive, but my ham takes more of a beating. That's also using CoB as fencer, not using CoB as TKM.
If I tried to tank them with my pistol equipped, I would likely be incapped about half-way throught the lair.

I have tried many buff sets doing mokk missions and fighting fs stuff on dant switching between the 3, and I can do a mokk mission faster with a gaffi stick and not get hit at all than with 212 base vk. I loose about 1/4 health to mokks (unarmored) using tk, and come out undamaged using fencer. These are solo group missions, so maybe 7 mokks per mission.
I used to think it was a damage trade off, but a good gaffi stick makes up that diff even with no ar rating over vk.
I know when I am using fencer, I use blind2 at first making the mobs blind, but since compairing tk to fencer the blind shouldnt be a factor because i'm looking at spec overall for the 2.
I think tk isn't as strong as they make it out to be, and fencer is stronger than they would like to think.

Like I said, I wouldn't know the full picture because I didn't master Fencer. I do know that as TKM I can just run up to the flag, center, and spin2. Most of the time all 5 or less cavemen are either dead or running away before the CoB wears off.
Quick easy money, but sure is boring.

Biggest Problem with TKA: Can't change the colors of my ribbons
I love to play this class so much I don't really notice any "problems"... I can own just about any thing and do very well in PvP... TKA is balanced very well in between PvE and PvP... I don't know what else I could ask for

Defense acuity isn't working as intended i'm thinking. I've seen quenkers dodge/block/counterattack more than I have even with COB on. I hope they fix this soon.

tka is not balanced at all in pve 1type of damage and light piercing, if i recall right every other combat professsion has at least 2types of damages, and most have different aps.

You're right Trucho, however with fencer all of their high-end weapons (including the one that gives them stun) are all AP0 so fencer damage sucks.

You have to look at it both ways.... Pikeman has AP2 and Electricity but does not have meditate or even 1/2 the toughness TKA has.
