Thread: Some Knockdowns Are Physically Impossible

Now I'm not complaining about TKM being too overpowered and that crap, in fact I think its an awsome profession. However, the knockdown is out of hand. TKM can knockdown a rancor with the greatest of ease, but if you think about it, a rancor must weigh like ten thousand pounds! As to where the average human weighs 150 pounds (can't say much for the other species, but they must be relativly close). If you don't quite get the picture then drag you lazy ass down to the zoo, find yourself a nice sized elephant and.....well....knock it down.....no seriously.....I dare ya....I'd even pay to see you do it. I don't think the problem is justwith rancors, but anything else that even the slightest bit big....I think it should be hard to knockdown a wookie ( not impossible, just freakin hard!). I can go on and on about this, so I'll just stop here on thsi subject.
As for the trolls about TKM beign to overpowered,I think they are just fine, I do think that the ranged professions are weak though and have bad aim... i.e.have you ever seen somebody dodge a bullet? Ok...ok... so some people can...........IN THE MATRIX! Now picture this...a jedi is being shot at, he doesn't jump around trying to not be hit, NO he pulls his saber, stands there and deflects the shots, why you might ask...well because they CAN'T dodge! Remember the driodekas in ep1? Now how many of you ranged people can kill a driodeka? Now if a jedi can't dodge shots from a gun, then why the hell can a TKM?!
Ok I'm done now, and all I have to say about this post is "GRRRR IMA MEAN OL' BRIDGE TROLL NOW!" Honestly though the TKM dodging bullets thing is just my pet peeve, its the knockdown that gets me

Well if elephants werent so fat it would be alot easier for a martial arts person to knock it down look how fat its legs are COMMON NOW!!!!

Yeah, and people shouldn't be able to shoot lightinings of their hands but you know what? It's a game. Really, it is. Yes, I'm serious.

But what you don't get is its nice that have a game thats realistic, so we can do things we can do in real life without having to worry about penalties such as prison or even worse....*gulps* death! In example why do yo uplay GTA? Because you can steal a car and not actuallyget sent to the bin...
Your also saying that a rancor doesnt have huge legs? If so, you aperantly havnt looked at them that well....

Just remembered, you think that nobody could knockdown and elephant? Well then what about Tortans? They are just TAD bit bigger in every way...

OH? and what would happen if i shot you in the head with a rifle? or hit your head with a powerhammer at that? pfft realistic, its a game and its fun (or rather it should be fun) because its unrealistic and you can do things you normally cant. If you dont like it go play another game. hehe or dont quit because you find your addicted....(then you have to ask yourself, why do i even play this game when i log in and run around doing nothing for an hour, then log out? ok im rambling but you should have got the point from the first sentence.

Your argument is a little lopsided. A rancor stands on two legs, whereas an elephant stands on four. Thus if you hit someone ( lets say the rancor ) on the side of the knee, you would in essence knock the rancors balance suffiently to cause it to fall over. An elephant however would still maintain its balance because of the other three legs.

Why are you using a Rancor as a example? As I recall, some one kicked a Ranco's butt with just a bone and a rock in RotJ

well if you remember correctly a door actually killed that rancor not a stick and rock (which luke the jedi used his force powers to hit the button)
ok i wont use a rancor as an example, hows about a tortan, or a fambaa?

You hit them in the nuts or in solar plexus. Thats a good way to knock someone down irl to.

First off, who is to say that the jedi couldn't dodge the shot? Maybe they just prefer the idea of sending it back with their lightsaber over ducking out of the way. 
You know one thing that has always bothered me about RotJ was that Luke could have just flipped the switch using the Force, yet he felt the need to pummel it, and possibly break it, by throwing a rock at it. Come on, Luke!
