Thread: Nightsister VK's?

I've heard that Nightsisters drop the parts for a VK. Is this true? I've been out hunting NS for a few days and theres none to be seen yet. What should I be hunting? Any tips would be appreciated

Nightsister Vibro Units. They only drop off Axkva Min(Spelling?) and she only spawns once every server reset. Don't run around looking for 'em on normaly Nightsisters, waste of time. If you want some more damage on your Knucklers go to Lok and hunt Nym's men for High Powered Vibro Units.

^^ I second that. Go for Nym's, unless you insist on trying to break the 250 Max Damage barrier.

Isn't Axkva Min the NS queen with 100% kenetic resists 
? O well ill give the Nymsguards a shot. Any clue on what the drop rate is?

If all you do for the full buff is kill Nym's guys than it's an 85% chance that you'll get at least ONE motor. If you run out of guards in the Stronghold just take some Nym missions, they're 10k a pop.

I agree, in the three or four cleansings, I got 4 20dam VKs, and lucky me, two of the VKs got 30% dam slices
But about the NS motors, if you get a hand on some of these, they can make some great PvP VKs, because the min/max damage spread is better than regular VKs, although the max damage is lower than Nym VKs. I suggest you try for a NSEL first, because they look sweet at the least, and NS VKs are only good in PvP.

Hey.. if I got my hands on a NS vibro unit I'd make a Vibroblade first.. than a Vibroknuckler.

Can someone plz list the stats on a good nym's motor... they are not all the same

Best I've found is 27 to damage... haven't had my weaponsmith turn it into a VK yet... cant wait to see the damage on it

Exceptional NS Vibro units dropped on Chimeara, made into VK's damage sliced. two made 334 max and 344 max damage.

The base, and most often dropped Nym's motors are +20 max damage (High Powered VIbro Motor is the name of the loot), while I have looted many in the +21 to +25 range. However, a few months back I looted a set of three +30's, last summer a set of four +50's, and well over a year ago, a friend and I looted one +100 max damage motor. Unforunately, she won the roll, got a set of vk's made 243 max, 314 max(or 315 max, can't honestly remember exactly) after slice. I have not seen, nor heard, of any of this caliber drop lately, but I imagine there's still the possibility. Also, for good vk's, try just massacring rancors and the phase 4 thugs/pirates/outlaws in the village. That's the best I can really say about this.
And to Darkripper2000:
Akxva (NS Queen) is a pain to drop solo, she's tougher than an elder, I'd say, if not for the fact that she's located at the bottom of the cave and has a ton of protection ( a lot are in the form of 50k/ish HAM NS Protectors.) So, she's not the easiest kill. However, I have seen some crazy motor drops from her, and as Ramsey (another player from Scylla) had stated in another related post, several have been crafted into VK's on our server yeilding 300+, and, in at least one case, a 400+ damage knuckler(s) after some good slices.
Either way guys, the gear is out there, it's just a matter of dedicating time to loot what you want. Some people say don't make it a goal to get an exceptional rifle, rare components for crafted weapons (NS Energy Lance, acklay bones, NS/Nym motors) etc. But I say do make it a goal. If you want it badly enough, and spend the time killing the appropriate mobs and/or NPCs, you will eventually get the loot. I've made getting exceptional quality equipment my goal, and have succeeded in many instances. Granted, it's not always the weapon I want, I've looted an exceptional LVA, and exceptional Tenloss DXR-6b, the best krayt tissues ever on my server, have had access to the best acklay bones, and to my belief, the best Nym's motors on serveras well.
I say this not to brag;instead to prove the point that IF you're willing to hunt for it, then you WILL eventually get what you're looking for.
Spend a couple buff sessions on Lok, yes, even if you hate the place. What I normally do is get full buffs, and get a ticket to the farthest south city on LOK. From there I head east by northeast (our south-most city is slightly west of center on Lok) and take a swoop until I find the first spawn of Nym's. From there, I store the speeder and just continue on foot until buffs are gone, killing everything I see as far as Nym's, Mercenaries, and Canyon Corsairs (mercs and corsairs tend to drop some nifty loot, and are well worth taking the time to kill, I recommend it heavily). I normally net 10 to 15 motors in a single run such as that, most the base +20's, but have made runs netting several with well over 20 max damage.
It's just all in the numbers. The more you kill, the better your odds of getting what you want, if you want it badly enough.
