Thread: Check the posted date please! A Forums FAQ of sorts
A big (IMO) problem we're facing on the forums now is that there are a good number of people posting threads that have already been answered or are very old and hold little-to-no bearing on what's happening recently.
This is leading to a portion of the community that's both misinformed but they end up getting flamed for being so behind or "ignorant" or "idiots" or whatever because they've replied to a month old-out-of-date thread or that they post a "fed-up" thread based on information that's solved or will be soon.
I advise all that consider posting here to please do a search (a text field located at the bottom of the screen) to look up information about the subject you're looking for before we end up with a "useless" thread and 30 flame posts responses to it.
I also suggest looking at the stickies at the top of your forum screen and see which ones are newest and thus the relevant ones. This is done by clicking on the post itself and at the bottom left portion of the original posters message (directly under their icon/name/info area) and see when that comment was posted.
These two simple steps will eliminate a great deal of unnecessary posts and keep the new ones visible longer.
I don't think that many will read this or follow it's instruction...if there's one thing that's constant, it's human impatience. They want their answers now.
Good Journey - Please /bump this thread to keep it visible to new forum members...if you wanna.
