Another way I learned from a sharpshooter friend of mine. (as most of the time shooting one mobbers will aggro the rest.)

Do NOT equip a gun of anykind. Take off mask scent, and walk to 50m from the furthest mob out. close into 40 and wait for a few moments, usually the mob will warn you (The ! mark). Back off andf away, and hopefully the mob will follow you (especially if its a stalker like great womps or tusk cats). Hope that helps. ^^

That sounds like a good plan.I'll give it a try.

Thanks for the responses. I should clarify that this character hates any kind of gun. Therefore, pulling techniques geared more toward unarmed would be greatly appreciated.

if you use taunt on one, the ones you don't taunt should come after you. it has limited application, but when it applies, it's easy.

Thats the method I have always used as well. Also watch carefully as it is not always the one you are trying to pull that follows you, sometimes one further away will actually follow you, so keep an eye on the radar and watch the red dots.

Sometimes if they are packed together it is possible to pull just one off by running close (30 to 40m) then run away again and repeat as needed. Sometimes you get one follow, sometimes you get them all following.

I always found shooting one usually agro's any that are about 20m from the one you shoot, so I don't use this method that often. But if the mob is not agro this is usually the only way that works, unless you run up to it hit it once and run away. They will usually all follow but after a while they will stop (end combat), when this happens they are usually spread out enough to go back and pick just one off alone.

Fool-Proof pulling technique: Have your VK equipped and stand about 30 meters away from a pack. Target the one on EITHER end of the pack and attack. It is out of range, and it won't know it's under attack, but all it's buddies psychic senses will kick in and the ones within social range (which varies) will come running. Once they start running, target the closest one and WAIT till he gets to you, than KD and the fun begins... This works every time. I hope i explaied it well enough.... It will still take some experimenting before you learn better techniques for this method, but for the most part, it works every time. Just remember, only the ones within social range that you did NOT attack will come running. The one you attacked from beyond melee range will just sit there wondering where all his friends are going. The reason i say go for one on the end, is because this will usually pull the smallest amount. Say there are three bols by a lair. One is 10m to the right, the next on is 20m from the lair to the right, and one is 10m to the LEFT of the lair. If you target the one on the far right, the one 10m away from him will come running, but the one on the far left will be out of social range, and will just stand around, none the wiser, as will the one you "attacked." Hope this helps out some.

Traps made with the worst possible materials and Mask scent both pull well.

When your mask scent fails only one monster will usually break it and agro you... the others won't normally assist if you are out a good distance. So, just mask and run the perimiter of the monsters waiting for one to charge, run out a ways and fight. (this also generates an amazing amount of scout exp in a night...)

Crummy traps that don't effect the monster will not agro the monster. However, his friends will often get mad and charge out to you... This can allow you to pull one out of a group of 2, etc.

This sounds like exactly the way I would want to do it. Thanks guys and girls for all the help. I really appreciate it. The other methods for aggro mobs sounds great too. I can't wait to try out these techniques.

Go into combat mode unarmed or with a melee weapon. All the social mobs will psychically know he is under attack andcome, however the mob you attacked will not, because you never hit it. If you get more mobs than you can handle, start running. At some point they'll give up. Target one of them and attack again, he will not come but the others will. Simply repeat until you get the amount of mobs you want.

I just need some advice on this. I am currently working on Tera Kasi Novice and do not know an effective way of pulling. I have tried to do a search on here many times w/o luck. I must be doing something wrong b/c I am sure it has been covered.

In advance, I want to say that any advice is greatly appreciated and thanks for taking the time to respond.
