Me and 5 other TKM just dueled a Master Fencer, 5 v 1, Not ONE of us hit him once, and he took ALL of us down, that fencer CoB is a BITCH

hey, just stopping in from the Fencer forums...

it's kinda nice to hear you guys saying the same thing we were saying before CoB came out.

"duel anything, and if you play it right, you can win. oh, except a TKM."

the reason for this is i think your CoB is broken, if i'm hearing the correct things. that's the only realy counter to CoB, since you can't really get around it, you can only make it just as hard for them to hit you.

keep in mind, though, that we can't dish out the damage you do, nor can we target anything but the health pool. nor do we have a built-in buff like powerboost, or the nifty force-of-will. once the mitigation comes out, it's all gonna change again.

it's been rough on us since you're getting the balancing first. of course, that's because you have only one weapon, and are fairly straightforward. fixing you first gives the devs a clearer picture on the state of melee faster. that way, when it comes time to balance the rest of melee, it'll be much quicker for us than for you. the fencer community understands this and we're ok with that. you guys have had a rough ride, too.

so we've got an upper hand for now. maybe. i've lost to a few TKMs while using CoB. 5 in a row seems a bit odd, but i think it might be a problem with your own CoB.

did you duel hima ll at once, or one by one? i assume all at once... that is pretty amazing. hopefully this is a complete fluke. we don't want to be uber. we just want to have a fair chance.

Congrats for fencers! Hopefully once our CoB gets fixed it will work as well as theirs, and if not, oh well we get a Ton of benefits that they dont so i see no point in complaining that someone else has something good going on in melee since we have had it good for so long. Besides, if you had 5 tkm's on one guy and they didnt kill him regardless of CoB then something is wrong. I mean c'mon isnt it like a 30 second limit or something to it at master? Between 5 of ya couldnt like 2 or 3 of you have waited for it to end and then get him? Of course im pretty drunk so i could be overlooking things , Not tryin to flame or anything but 5 vs 1 ?

then he had alot more defence than just the fencer trees he probably branch out to all the other melee def skills.

Wow! You guys suck. Seriously, tho, maybe the guy had Master Gunfighter too, for a whopping +195 to dodge. CoB only supposed to work on single targets unless it's bugged, which wouldn't surprise me given that TK CoB been bugged since it went live. I find it hard to believe that 5-on-1 resulted in win for Master Fencer. At those odds, you have to account for TKM player skill or lack thereof.

Warcry and intimidate shouldn't be effected by CoB. I've duelled my friend who is a master Fencer. Duels usually came down to who sticks warcry first.

Still waiting for a Dev response on our CoB BTW. I'll let you guys know as soon as I hear something.

CoB is broken

It's broken.. And oh man... they fixed fencer?**edit**, the unwritten law about fencersall be cool people is going to be repealed... Get ready for the influx of lamers saying "WUT R FSTEST WAY 2 BLDEMSTER!!!!!???!!!11"

Well congrats to the fencers are starting to get their profession fixed. And my sympathies on becoming the next flavor of the month.

Well grats to another melee class for having the developers do something right for them for once!! Glad to see fellow melee class gettin loving. I hope this isa step in the right direction for the devs to help the rest of melee classes out as well. Help pikemen!! Saw one incap himself off of specials. After i laughed to tears and thought about it.....well that sucked for him!! Anyways enough rambling Grats to fencers for a needed change to make them a better class.

Lets be realistic though, who PVPs with new insurance? I dont really and not many on my server do anymore. I would rather have my ranger skills that will soon be boosted and also have all the little bonuses for pve. I have like 200 accuracy, I dont miss. I have self buffs. Lets just put it this way, I am happy. Fencer is uber so be it, everything is balanced in the end. Flavor of the Monthers, dive for fencer. For me i love TKA and when its all said and done we will all be about even (I pray) I love tka accuracy, speed, defense acuity (which doesnt work that well) and soon to work I hope Center of Being.
