Im a Wookie Smuggler....almost Master. Im looking to go Smuggler/TKM....and while I dont know if Ill be an offensive powerhouse (due to lack of armor)....Im wondering if a Wookie TKM is viable?

Can I tank reasonably well with no armor...since I have better ham?

acually I dont think most tk's use armor, so that shouldnt be to much of a problem. Sadly thats about all i know about wookies(the no armor thing) so dont know about other factors

Thedefenses of TKA's are so high that armor is rarely used by TKA's. Besides, if they do get DB'd, their expensive composites would decay to such a point as to disgust the normal person. I lost all my composites on 5 DB's over 3 days.

dont worry about being the most "uber" TKM. I'm a Wookie TKM, and i love it, regardless of the fact that trandoshan TKM have an advantage. If u use good strategy, the difference shouldnt be too much. Nothing beats watching a kung fu wookie!

I would have to say yes, I'm a Wookiee Sharpshooter/ TKA and have little problems tanking. I would strongly suggest at least novice medic tho, and since you use a pistol, Tat. sunburn would benifit you greatly. Most TKM's that I know, don't, or rarely use armor anyways (maybe a nice helm for eyeshot defense).

We have a wookie tka on our guild and he is an incredible tka.

So yes it can easily be done.

i was a wookie master tka prior to getting tired and heading to commando and i must say it was nice having the xtra stats in PvE. even with a vk on, all i used was a breath of heaven while i had my pet tank for me and i could shred thru things without losin too much ham spamming uh2. this is prior to the recent patch also. if u aint got no doc buffs, food+ham reducing powerups are the best thing in the world.

I don't know why people play wookiees as a combat class.. no armor.. ugh = death. I have 70% kinetic armor, I can't survive vs 2 bull rancors and 2 rancors. Or survive against 1 giant krayt dragon and 1 juvie dragon.

no offense, sutoaxe, but if you were *smart* you wouldn't be in a situation where you had 2 bull rancors and 2 regular rancors or 1 giant krayt and 1 juve dragon on you. that's just bad pulling, or wandering without paying attention.

in regards to wookiee tkm's there is no good reason why a wook cannot be a good tkm. the only armor i wear is a personal shield generator, and i have no problem going toe to toe with rancors.

I have 70% ubese armor, I can't survive vs 2 bull rancors and 2 rancors "WITHOUT IT"

And I went to fight them, don't care. As long as I'm buffed and I'm ready to use either muon gold or some other spice, I'm ready to fight them

I am currently a wookiee Tera Kasi Master/ Master Doctor and I can handle anything that could possibly be thrown at me. Fully buffed with doc buffs, using power boost, breath of heaven/vercepti something-or-another (boosts willpower), 32% Mind 16% max 8% min damage melee powerups, and muon gold there is little that can kill me. I've tanked a krayt and juvi at the same time, very hard heh. I've soloed with no help from pets the Giant Dune Kimogila, and I've even tanked 2 bull rancors, 2 rancors, and 2 rancor youths at once and still came out on top. 2 Ancient Bull Rancors did incap me though, but FoW and I was right back up and able to finish them off. These are all relatively easy for most masters to do as I've seen it in action numerous times.

I've been a master sharpshooter/MCH and master heavy swordsman/MCH in my time and I relied heavily on my 2 grauls to tank for me while I killed away. I've found I no longer need pets in any situation. Armor is nice especially in PvP I cant argue that fact enough, but in PvE its not really needed. Most masters of Tera Kasi dont use armor, and half the time nor do they use VKs.

As a wookiee TKA, you have the advantage of higher stats, considering most TKM's dont wear armor anyway. Now PvP that will put you at a huge disadvantage imho, but then again with the decay in effect alot of people dont PvP for one, and secondly melee classes really are a tough class to play in a PvP setting because they're easily kited.
