Thread: I feel as though CH is needed for Brawler professions

I feel as though I'm having a hard time gaining experience as a Novice TKA/Commando. The only time where I can actually get some nice exp is when I'm grouped with a CH. I, personally, think it's dumb that I am required to hide behind a pet just to level at a decent rate. Any tips for people without a pet for soloing? Or is it just not possible?

Buffs...and if it's available grab some advance ubese. Night and Day difference. Remember though your still at novice, the closer you get to master the more punishment you can take.

absolutely its possible

try hitting dantooine and do huurton missions. start with the regular ones, then move up to matron and stalkers as your levels increase... decent money to be had as well

tried huurtons, they agro me instantly then I fall to my death...so buffs and ubese might be my only possible chance temporarily?

i made it to 2 2 4 3 without ever using either of the pets i have

i spent most of my time on tatooine, anchorhead. hunting mountain worts, larger womp rats, eopies, etc.

it wasn't the fastest way, but it definitely worked well and gave me little trouble once i got my kinetic ubese.

You need some of the following:

Kinetic ubese, buffs, some med skills, muon (so you can spam specials and heal your self, food (ryschate, breath of heaven) this also to allow you to spam specials

Try some of this stuff and I think you'll notice a significant differance in your ability to survive.

If you are gonna use muon(or any other spice), you might wanna use the alarm function, to allow yourself 30 seconds or so to get out of dodge. Sure sux getting a muon downer mid-fight.

I am now 2443 TKA, and have never used a pet with that character (except mounts), and only used armor a couple of times, but as they lower my secondary stats to much (especially focus) the HAM cost are to high to justify any use (at leat PvE).

I feel that a ranged prof are more in need of a pet to tank than a brawler, as a brawler easier absord the damage taken.

Get a lot of willpower, novice medic and some good stim-bs and, berserk your way to Novice TKA, and then get buffs and kd+dizzy/kd+warcy + uh2 your way to TKM.

Brawlers dont need pets, they need weapons with different damage. VKs are kinetic.. unarmed are kinetic.. We need some heat damage nunchakus and acid damage sai's

it's all about buffs and 70%+ kinetic ubese, the grind from novice brawler to novice tka is tough, but once i got novice i could solo defilers on dath for 30-35k unarmed xp per lair (not to mention 23k credits)

just remember to keep everything you're fighting intimidated, kd+warcry also works wonders because you get 10sec without getting hit (20sec with warcry2) and you're also doing 1.5x dmg because they're knocked down

Ok.... This is what i think, now before i start i just want you to know that i am only 2211 in TKA atm.

I very seldom use a pet, I do have a cowardly in my data pad but only pull him out in extreme cases...(LOL im a baby and afraid to die now due to decay hehe). I have no problems soloing (WITHOUT PET) huurtons, torturs, vicious huff duns, and aplenty others... Now from what i have seen these are all pretty decent mobs for xp and are not that much of a risk to you that you have to worry about death becuse most of them do not DB(feel free to correct me if im wrong).

Unless your one of those people that have to master a profession in less than a week that this should be MORE than enough xp to get you to master in a fairly decent time period... Just to give you an example of where im at, I have been TKA for about 3 weeks now and im only 2211. Yea i wanna hit master as soon as i can but there are other fun things to do in SWG that just run around and try and master aprofession as fast as you can... I need to go out and check my harvestors once in awhile and I love taking orders for needed meats and hides from my PA brothers. xp is not usually not the biggest thing on my list of prioritys, I'd rather just take my time and enjoy the profession.

BUT to try and awnser you question, I hear one of the best way to get xp fast is to get a few of your buddys and go to fort tusken (havn't had a chance to try it out for myself yet).

You shouldn't need pets to tank for you, you ARE a tank.... just keep some good stim b's handy

Thank You
