Thread: hello fine TKA masters... can i ask for some advice...
well, alot of advice accually...
I played a MRM and MCH with medic skills up until now.... send in graul, shot shot shot... heal pet repeat...
well, few weeks ago my, my bro and sister decide to try and unlock out FSS... and reroll on a new server... (none of us wanted to retool our mains...) i took ch again, becasue, well i like it... and pistol...
long story short... i don't like pistol... don't know why, but i'm not having fun with it..... feels like a weaker version of rifle... and i want to try something new... so I want to try to be a player tank, and change my play style completely...
So i chose TKA, and started trying to lvl up my UA skills last night... needless to say, i'm kind of at a loss...
So... can i get some advice on making advancement?
how should my hams be distrubutied?
were should i fight and what should i fight to get back up to speed...? (got some good pets to tank with for now... hope to not need them sooner or later, but might as well use them while i have them... lol)
equpiptment? what do i need?
how should i progress up the TKA tree?
any help is much appreactied!

1) Not sure, I'm a doshan, but I'd say boost your 2nd action stat, as this reduces the cost of your specials.
2) The bestest xp, imo, will be baz nitches on Dathomir. The nitches don't poison, don't cause bleeds, don't dizzy, they just attack. Because you have pets you can try these. They reward around 5k unarmed xp each, and generally have 6 per lair. There's also talk of anm NPCcave on Talus, 5929 4641, that is good to level, but I wouldn't go there without kd and dizzy. I say go for the sure fire, the steadfast, the nitch. I waisted a LOT of time chasing fast xp that turned out costing me more time and money than anything.
3) Advanced Ubese armor with a High kinetic rating (ubese has less enumberance costs than composite), and the fastest set of VK's you can find. You cannot benefit from the damage until you make TKN, but you can utilize the speed they provide. Also use /berzerk, /intimidate1, and /unarmedStun1 when you can afford it, as the berzerk makes you hit harder, and the others reduce damage recieved.
4) I hit 0-1-1-x first, then 0-1-4-x, then 2-1-4-x, then 2-4-4-x, then master. Combat xp, train it as you get it. I went for power first, then balance with powerboost from meditate. Because you get only meditate abilities in the meditate line, I opted for the extra offense and defense attributes in the other lines first. It's all up to you really though. I'm sure you'll change plans many times between here and master. Just have fun with it!
Finally I'd say if you use pets to tank, don't use your VK's as they only have a range of 3m.. when you are just using the regular attack loop, no specials. WIthout them your range it 5/6 meters, and gives you room to leave your pet for the tanking. Have fun, and I hope this helps.
indeed it does... yeah biznitches are cake for galioth...(graul) for now anyway... and that would be good, to help me master out ch while i climb the TKA trees... (going to master ch since i'm close anyway... 3 3 1 3.. god know's i'd quite now, and a holo WILL say, master CH. LOL)
sounds like a plain... so what is a good spd for VK's? and when i'm a TKA, what are good stats for VK's in general..

I'd say the faster the better, but get 2.2 or quicker if you can. You'll immediately notice how much faster you hit. As for after you get TKN? I still stay use speed vk's, with as high a damage as you can get, but speed is still the issue. Only when i got close to Master, and even now I just started looking for higher damage vk's. That's my own way of doing it though, and everyone may not agree. I don't believe you can match the speed of the vk's until you get higher in TK (match the speed with no vk's i mean), and that extra speed is nice, PLUS you get extra damage in. The biggest problem are the costs. Here's an example from another post that I gave:

I am just now ditching them... why? I just got Master TK and
With VK's:
/unarmedHit3 = -248 action
/unarmedHit2 = -139 action
Without VK's
/unarmedHit3 = -72 action
/unarmedHit2 = -36 action
Of course the damage varies slightly, but I can get nearly 4 /uh3's in without vk's for the price of one with. You tell me! lol
If I fight multiple mobs, I just put them on the use a couple specials... otherwise I tend to leave them off.

Hope it helps!

liking what i'm hearing....
one last question...
i'm going to slowly work out my CH skills after i master them... if i can tank, i'd rather focus on that, seeing as how my brother is building a pistoler with medic skills... he can heal me up, plus i plain on taking up medic as well, becsuse i already have some, and with my old toon, being able to heal on the fly helps alot...
what are good complementry skills? a templete if you will...
Plus any adive on combo's and what to look for in armor... I've NEVER used any, being a sniper ch and all....
