Ahhh so ... I'm not quite there yet but I'm wondering if i should planon dropping my VK when I hit master power techniques.

Is the damage very much lower? I have good VKS I think (38-147, 1.5 speed) but the mind hit isj ust horribl. I can get buffs to deal with everything else, but even with muon or food the mind hit is painful. Am I much better off just going unarmed?

Or will the damage decrease suck too bad?

I did unless I was fighting armored mobs, the damage isnt much different.

Yay, that's good to hear. When I tried going fully unarmed (no vk) at power techniques 2, the damage was noticibly less. Like 300-400 dmg less on unarmed hit 2.

Will make my life so much easier if I can just drop the VKs and do pretty much the same dmg.

Alternately if i could find the perfect food and drink combo that got rid of ham costs... I could get VKs and dmg slice em and dmg powerup =D. But a crate of breath of heavan is like 90k =/

Well if you want something cheap to help with your mind costs throw some grey gabaki into the mix. This is one of the most underrated spices ever IMO. Friend to rifleman everywhere. Grey gabaki is a spice that gives you +500 focus for 500 seconds. Now combine that with breath of heaven and ryschate and you got yourself one special spamming monster of a TKA. This also has the advangate of not hosing your willpower and mind bars when you go on a downer so you won't automatically get KO'd if you hit a downer mid combat like you would with muon gold. Just stop spamming your specials and let your regular attack's do the work. I've been doing this to solo missions on dathomir and dantooine for the last few days and it's done wonders even with my 30/50/30 VK's.

Its a large difference in damage output. I ALWAYS use VKs, but I'm also always buffed, with doc and musician buffs, so...

Ah I was fearing that. Well Doc buffs just dont cut it for me because its my mind that goes down. As a bothan I really don't seem to get the option of bringing my mind stats up very high. So I will have to depend on foods ... ryschate is good. +300 focus str and quickness. Can eat 2. Spose I'll do that and when I have no doc buffs I'll use breath of heavan. And with doc buffs I can just use ice blaster.

i eat food... ryshcate and BOH..... i nevereven have to get buffs after powerboosting...make some money and get the food...it lasts forever...

Ya was waiting on boh. Chef who i buy from says it takes several days to make a full run of them because it takes tons of subcomponents, then its really complicated to boot.

On that note, I did the mind reduction powerups. Way too expensive for 100 hits when you hit every second tho =P. I just then switched to ryschate and when it got messy I popped a muon gold and ice blaster . With my base focus at 600, + 500 from muon, + 575 from 2 ryschate as long as i did not wear armor my total mind cost was 0. Could spam with VKs til muon downer. Knocked out 100k xp usually before that happened. Mastered Teras Kasi. Same time as my friend mastered pikeman .... what a broken class pikeman is.
